You are indeed buying a picture of that stuff. But its such a deal, only 9.99 (the picture could be HUGE LOL) and free shipping. Who says that eBay sellers rape everyone on shipping? This person shurly isnt ;)

There was a news article awhile back where a kid was arrested for fraud after putting pictures of widescreen tvs on ebay for sale. So... actually this seller wasn't being very clever.

I hate this, this is one of the eBay scams that make me so sick it's not even funny.

I remember when they were doing this with high end PC's, people would pay hundreds or thousands of hard earned dollars just to wind up with a picture of a PC. They make the description EXTRA SUPER long and then somewhere in it they say "picture of the PC only" or something. Sad thing is it's basically legal.

Sad thing is it's basically legal.

Uh no , it isn't.

In any Court in the country you would get your money back and people like this would get charged with fraud.

There's no Judge in the world who would say " Well you should have read the description"

As I've said before , A scam is a scam and Fraud is Fraud.

It's back, and two dumbasses have bid on it.
Why would I want a picture? I can see it already. I can "right click and save as" and save god knows how many hard earned dollars.
Stupid, stupid people....

I wrote the seller this:

Hi. Your description says: "Everything in the description below is in the picture. the picture is what you are actually bidding on" I'm just wondering if I win do I get everything that is listed or do I just win a picture of everything that is listed. I know this may sound stupid but I just wanted to be sure.

Thanks!!!

I doubt I will hear back from him!!

I wrote to the high bidder:

Dear stootzie1988,

Hi, I see that you are bidding on item number 4161905800. I just wonder if you think you are bidding on everything that is in the list or are you bidding on a picture of everything that is in the list. The title of the auction says it's a picture. Just wondering what you are under the impression you will get if you win. Thanks!! Jay Chillicothe, Ohio

I can't wait to see what he says!!

I didn't even see that. I wrote him again:

"Nevermind.....SHIPPING ON THIS ITEM IS FREE thank you for looking and please check out some of my other auctions up on ebay.this auction is just for the picture that is shown in this auction. i can not be held responsible if you do not read this. remember it's for the picture only. the Picture will be printed on computer photo paper.

You're an idiot."

Wonder if he'll reply to THAT!

Also send an email to the bidder with that quote. They seriously need to be shown. I don't think anyone would willingly bid on a photograph of a collection unless it was an experiment. Let them know. They can contact eBay and have the bid retracted and maybe some asshole can be banned.

Done. Here's what I emailed the high bidder:

"Just wondering if you saw this in the item description:
SHIPPING ON THIS ITEM IS FREE thank you for looking and please check out some of my other auctions up on ebay.this auction is just for the picture that is shown in this auction. i can not be held responsible if you do not read this. remember it's for the picture only. the Picture will be printed on computer photo paper.

Dude, Unless you are shill bidding for the seller you are getting ripped. Just wanted to say that. I'll leave you alone now.

Thanks!

Jay"

I'll post if he replies

I wouldn't be surprised if the price gets pretty high. I keep my auctions pretty short and to the point, with paragraphs and proper typing to make it easy to read, yet I get SO MANY dumbass bidders who fail to even read a few sentences about the terms of the auction. I've had to decline tons of unacceptable payments. I know when I see an auction I'm interested in the FIRST thing I look at is the payment types accepted, the shipping cost, and then I carefully go over the description so I know exactly what I'm getting.

I reported it to eBay. We shall see what they have to say about it.
