The House of the Dead III - XBOX

Anyone else played House of the Dead 3 for Xbox yet?

I love it so far. I've read it's not very long, but that isn't a problem with me as it has many different paths to take to get to the bosses.

The graphics are superb and the new shotgun is a bit slower but A LOT of fun to use.

I also love the little parts where you have to save your partner.Excellent.

The giant zombie sloth.... brilliant.... and it's a sloth, go figure.

I picked up a gun today and can't wait to get home and try the game out the way it's meant to be played.

Anyone else tried the game?

Let us know what you think of the light gun - I presume you picked up the MadCatz blaster for XBox? How's it work? Calibration? Accuracy? Awkward shape / heavy / good / great?

I wish Sega had spent a couple extra bucks on manufacturing their own light gun and packaged it with the game. Like Namco does with all of their GunCon/GunCon2 games.

I can't get it calibrated how I want it. It generally feels too inaccurate for my taste. Not a great product overall.

Note that the auto reload feature works in HotD2, but not III.

I havent played with it too much yet, but so far it calibrated just fine and seems perfectly accurate to me. (And my son who is the reason i havent used it too much yet)

All the modes seem to work. The auto reload worked fine for me. When you dont shoot for a second the gun reloads automaticaly.

The shape is gay. I dont like that much, but using it feels fine.

I think the strangest thing that takes getting used to is the reload trigger is actualy on the hand grip. So you have to hold the handle loose as to not constantly reload. After 10 mins this wasnt a problem.

Does it make an EXCELLENT game better? Yes, 100%.

Oh, a question for anyone else with the madcatz gun.....

Does the barrel light up when you shoot? Mine doesnt....

I thought I read on the net somewhere that it does.

Lemme know cause even though it works 100% functional, for 40 dollars I'll exchange it.
