The lights are on but nobody's playing!!!!
How do I hook up a 26 year old machine to my modern television? Even better--how to hook it up with my Dish Network satallit? The game itself is working but it will not show on my television.

You need a switch box or an F-Plug, both pictured in that link. Your modern red white yellow composite inputs are useless with an old system. You need an adapter, so you can hook it up to the coaxial cable input, ideally directly to the TV.

Good Luck! It's worth the effort ma'am. :D

I hope someone can answer a few more questions about this topic...

I recently tried hooking up some older systems to my TV. It works, but I get a lot of noise/interference in the video. I'm using a very old manual switch box connected to a 300/75 ohm transformer. Do you think a coaxial to RCA adapter (like the one described on the page above) would be enough of an improvement to make it worth trying out? Is there anything else I should try to improve the signal?

It would likely be a night and day improvement over the switch box. Really.

If you really need 'switch' function, do what I did and just get an "A-B" cable switch, and just attach the F-plug to A, and put the regular cable on B.

Voila!

I tried the F-plug, and it did clean up the video quite a bit. The picture's still a little bit fuzzy (guess I'm used to S-video) but the interference and noise patterns are pretty much gone. Definitely a handy gadget to have around.

Thanks for the help.
