Magnavox Odyssey Owners Please Help

I am having trouble testing my Odyssey system. The signal to the TV comes in with a lot of static. The RF switch is a little complicated for me. How do I play the system on newer TV's? The manual is out of date to say the least. If anyone knows how to get the signal to the TV please respond.

I am planning on selling this system because I need the money bad. I got lucky and found it in the wild. It even has Percepts. I wish I could keep the system, but some things in life are more important =)

Might try something like this (http://www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/about/tips.htm) to get the signal through a VCR to test it.

I just hooked up my newly acquired Odyssey for the first time and found that the picture was VERY staticy and the tv produced a lot of white noise fromthe speaker. I just thought it was because I mickey mouse connected it to the TV cuz I had no rf switch. Am I to believe all this static and sound is normal? I was actually going to post about this, but it seems you very coincidentally beat me to it!!
