At an antique toys, model railroad, etc. meet this weekend I found a Vectrex with games stored in a grey bag. Didn't pay much attention to the bag since I didn't see a Vectrex logo on it. I passed on the lot and walked around when the topic of conversation turned to Vectrex carrying-cases and how rare they were and how sadly this one didn't have a Vectrex logo on it when the missus pointed out that it did indeed say Vectrex on the side.

Needless to say we rushed back and indeed. A vectrex carrying case!!!!!

Bought the machine with ten games(no boxes but most overlays and instructions) and the coveted bag for $150. Not exactly a steal but considering how difficult it seems to be to find one.......

The bag is a little tatty, and the cardboard supports aren't as rigid as they should be but overall it looks really nice. See it HERE (http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/md_saturn_dc/detail?.dir=/Games&.dnm=6418.jpg)

In the guide it says R9 $0. How much do these usually go for

Speaking of Vectrex a pawn shop i stop by a lot has a vectrex for $100.00 and the pawn shop owner is a hardass and doesnt budge on ANY prices. Is 100 dollars to much for a Vectrex? I figured it was but wasnt sure so i never picked it up its still there tho...So is it a good or bad price?

You can find them on Ebay for $50-$70 + $20 shipping.

So I'd say $100, if it is in good condition and you can test it , is a decent price.

Excellent find! They're unbelieveably hard to come by, even back in the day. I bought one of the spiffy reproduction covers a few years ago. I'm sure any hardcore Vectrex guy would give you at least $200 and it's probably worth more than that, especially if it's in good (or cleanable) condition.

Yeah, I wouldn't find that terrible. It's high. Consider, though, that you're not going to find another, that you can TEST THIS UNIT BEFORE BUYING, and that you don't have to worry about shipping damages. To me, being able to test hardware is worth extra money. If it's in good condition and works well you aren't going to far wrong at $100.

Though I'm new and not a hard core classic gamer, though I'd post this. Is this cover teh Same as the vectrex club dust cover? (probably) One appeared on ebay recently and sold BIN for $149.95.....I am not sure if it was the thread starter selling it or just another one.

When I saw the BIN price and the fact it sold I was floored....But who knows the depths I'll sink to now that I found my baby....
