I've got a World Heroes cart and I hope it's not dead. I have about 75 Genesis, NES, and N64 carts and I've gotten all of them to work just by blowing on them but I think this one needs some extra cleaning.

So what do I need to do?

q-tip and rubbing alchohol. and if that doesn't work, try a WHITE eraser.

With a white eraser, there's two things to keep in mind.

First, some white ones are the same as the pink: abrasive!

Make sure you get soft white-non abrasive erasers.

Second, it usually requires you open the cart, since you can't actually see how well you cleaned it looking at the edge without sharp eyes and good lighting. Also, the erasers don't usually fit in the slot very well between the board and the case. This may be an issue for you without the appropriate security bit screwdriver.

Security bits and a white eraser is my preferred method. Sometimes, I bring in the alcohol and q-tips, but not often. Once you clean them like that, try not to blow on them again. If you still have trouble after that, try cleaning the contacts in your system.

I clean everything that I get before putting it in my collection and I never have a problem.
