I'm building more demonstration videos of MegaDrive/Genesis and Famicom/NES overclocking, but I need to find some more games that generate a lot of lag.
for the MD I know Sonic 2 Ecco: Tides of Time produce quite a bit of slowdown..
and for the NES, Kirby and some Final Fantasy title.
Of course, if I buy the games I'd like to play them too. ;) I'm not big on RPGs so Action games are what I'd probably want to get the most of.
Gracias. :)

Any news with the SNES?
Oh, try Sonic 2 after placing a ton of objects through debug.

Super Ghouls and Ghosts on the Snes is a great game......but dang the slowdown sucks
Sega Rally 2 for DC has horrible slowdown. Awesome arcade title, sloppy port.

Gradius III and Super R-Type are excellent examples of SNES games that slowdown profusely, especially the former.
ThunderForce IV (Lightening Force) is a perfect Genesis example.
SOrry, I obviously didnt read the post right before. All the FX chip games for SNES could use a speed boost.

Virtuallly ANY sidescrolling shooter games. Even Ikaruga has some serious slowdown when the boss explosions start happening.

I'm almost 100% sure I read an interview with the lead for Iky and the boss explosion slowdown was an intentional effect, not actual slowdown. Other than that, the game is pretty silky smooth.
The older stuff tho, yeah. In The Hunt on either PSX or Saturn is pretty bad. Shame because the game itself rocks. Metal Sub, indeed!

You cannot have a topic like this without mentioning Contra Force. About the only time it's running at full speed is when you are standing completely still. If I ever buy an overclocked NES, I'm gonna use this game to determine its benchmark.

Izzy's Quest For The Olympic Rings for SNES seems to have quite a bit of slowdown whenever Izzy jumps.

Gradius for NES had a lot of slowdown in the later levels IIRC.

Last time I brought up this topic (when Epicenter started working on "my" OC'd NES) that was the first title I mentioned ;)
I'd say there's parts of the game where it doesn't even run full speed when you're standing still due to all the stuff going on...no wonder Arkhound never showed up, eh?
