Saw this new/sealed though with ragged wrapping for $30 today.

The Japanese one? Nope... It went through at least 2 print runs, including a "GH" run. That would mean it sold a decently high number of copies. Ive seen import stores sell it for as little as 20 and as much as 70 depending on the time of year (xmas and stupid parents dont mix) and its popularity. I dont claim to be an expert on Japanese PSOne stuff (hell I know I dont know all that much) but the japanese Final Bout is nothing special, that much i can say for certain. People in Japan in 1997 knew what DBZ was and bought it accordingly, here in america, the 10k run was probably a little low, but not to bad cause it had yet to hit the shores and be super popular over here.

I've frequently seen them for $10 - $20 new, online and off.

The gameplay for Final Bout is complete CRAP. if you are buying it as a DBZ/GT collector, then okay.
But, if you are looking for a fun DBZ game - stay far away from Final Bout. The control is TERRIBLE.

I'll second that. The game sucks, gameplay, and graphics. I have an American copy complete in rough shape that I will sell/trade. PM me if you are interested

I was just curious about RE-SALE value, as I remember one title being worth around $100. Figured I could sell it for $70 profit and buy like 30 8/16-bit carts... :D

That would be Dragon Ball Gt Final Bout US for the psone.
Another crap game. It is rare though. I picked this one up a long time ago. Traded it to a Dragon Ball collector.
