Hi. Really pleased to find this forum. Looks great. :D

I'm currently looking for video footage of people playing classic coin-ops ('80s, etc). Whether it's filmed in an old '80s arcade or just at a retro event - both would be great.

This isn't gonna be footage of the actual game - more exterior stuff featuring the environment/players, etc.

Can anyone help?

Thanks a lot.

Just out of curiosity, what's this for?

It's for a video to accompany some music I've written. :)

You wouldn't happen to be either Buckner or Garcia, would you? :hmm:

Heh... no, this is Andy, editor of parts in chief to do with Way of the Rodent (see my link below) and freelance ligger/writer/reviewer for numerous other publications. You made it over here at last :P

Hopefully when America wakes up (in the evening our time), you should get some "bites"...

If you can use footage from movies, there is a web site of that with pics: http://www.mameworld.net/movies/

I'm mostly after moving pics, but anything featuring '80s arcades would do.

And Mayhem - aaaaaaaargh! ;)

Good to see y', mate. :D

Hm. I know there were good video game sequences in Tron, Wargames, and a few other movies of the time. Of course, I *have* several arcade games, but probably not anything like what you're looking for (most of mine are 90'ish).

Basically video of people playing games, not videos of the games themselves. I suppose if anyone has transcribed footage of world record attempts from the 80s for example, that would be a good start...

What about Starcade episodes? Would they work? If so, you might even be able to download a small clip from http://www.starcade.tv
