I've bought two games on half.com and got ripped off both times. Haven't used it since.

First game I bought was SaGa Frontier. Game was advertised as "Like New" and was pretty cheap so I went for it. When I got the game in the mail though it was a total disaster. The manual was dirty, the back paper insert was ripped in half and the disk was badly scratched. Like New my ass.

Luckily when I took it to EB to trade it in they just swapped copies with me. (:

The other item I bought was the Haunting, with box. Well I got the game and it had "A" box. It was a genaric black case with the actual cover of the orginal box bound to it with packaging tape. I actually tried to remove the tabe but it destroyed the cover. :/

One out of the three times I've purchased from the site, it's worked.

The first one, the seller checked the item before it shipped and it didn't work (couldn't he have saved time, checking before he even listed?)

The second one, I bought the item, it arrived as described, no problems.

The third one, was listed as a Dreamcast game with Dreamcast imaging. I recieved it and it was the PC version.

I've purchased about 5 games from there and never had any problems. I only buy games with pictures, though.

i never used it..my roommate used it once and ordered a soccer game for the SNES and got a PS one football game that was just the disc. He never got his money back either, so he just bought the game again.

I've bought quite a few things from Half.com and not had any problems. I believe that Ebay is planning to shut them down and do all their fixed price selling at the ebay stores so I no longer sell anything on Half.com. They do have a cool feature of adding an item to a wishlist and sending an email when someone lists it. It really does not work very good though. All in all the prices on Half.com are cheaper than on Amazon.com. May have something to do with more traffic on Amazon and higher comission rates for sellers.

Anyway I recommend it, but yes, when you are dealing with these sellers online there are quite a few on all sites that are dishonest. I generally raise hell if something goes wrong and that works well for me in resolving problems. :) Does not always work though.
