Sorry if this is old news, but I just went to my local gamestop, and in addition to the buy 2 used games get one free sale, all Genesis, Snes, Nes, and Dreamcast games and accessories were 30% off! Needless to say, I bought quite a bit. LOL Get there while you still can!

Damn Damn Damn. And I haven't any money. And I suppose IF there was anything left at my GameStop, it'd be gone by next Saturday..

Worth a check. I promised myself I'd get all the expensive games when a sale came on.

It's quite a good deal, if you can find anything left over from the collectors. But if you do, don't forget to use the discount card also. Buy 2, get 1 free, plus 30% plus 10% off with the card. not a bad deal at all.

Of course this happens after I bought all of the games I wanted last week. I guess I can always find some more though. ;)

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. Me thinks I'll wait until they increase the sale power to a 50%, buy one get one.

I heard abou this sale when they were putting the signs up at one of my local stores. I thought that they told me that Dreamcast games were included as well. The only problem was that the only games they had left were dirt common ones they aren't worth paying for regardless what the deal is or ones with so many stickers that you can't make out the label anymore.

Well remember, if you're looking for anything in particular, use www.gamestop.com to find it. That's what I did. :)

So you can actually combine the two deals?

You can get 30 percent off each game, plus get buy 2 get 1 free?

The reason I ask is because I just bought some games at GameStop on Wednesday and all I got was the buy 2 get 1 free deal. I didn't get 30 percent off.

I bought Starship Hector (NES), MagMax (NES) & Captain Skyhawk (NES) for 99 cents each, getting one of them for free. So Instead of paying $1.98 for those 3 games, I should have payed $1.39? Plus tax of course.

I also got Vectorman (Genesis), Decapatack (Genesis) and Jet Force Gemini (N64) for $2.99 each, getting one of them for free. So Instead of paying $5.98, I should have payed $5.08, because I would have gotten 30 percent off one of the Genny games, the other Genny game would have been free anyways.

Hmmm. I'll have to check with my local GameStop.

I would think that you would either have to go with one or the other offers. That you wouldn't be able to get both.

It seems like not all the stores are doing the 30% off thing. Like one store near my work is doing 30% off all that and dreamcast games but I haven't seen any other stores with 30% off of dreamcast games.

I've been waiting for a sale. Too bad I'm completely broke right now. :( My local GameStop has been almost completely cleaned out of NES games, though. They used to have more NES games than games for any other retro console. Granted, it was mostly crap since it got down to slim pickings after I got all the good, cheap games. Last time I went there they still had a full stock of SNES games, though, and a few Genesis titles lingering there for all eternity. There was some good SNES stuff, but it was all too expensive.

My Software Etc. (which is owned by Gamestop if I'm not mistaken) went out of business just last week. Not that it really matters, as the last time I was in there, the only used games they had were for N64 and PS1.

30% off is pretty good. I'll have to stop in there soon.

I drove around to several Gamestops in Atlanta at this is what I got for $40 after taxes (or about $4.44 ea)

Actraiser 2
Gradius III
King of the Monsters 2
Starfox
Street Fighter II Turbo
Super Godzilla
Super Mario Kart
Super Star Wars
Tetris 2

Not a bad haul :)

I saw a Final Fantasy III for a net of $16
