We are designing a gaming quiz system, and would appreciate some of you answering the following quiz with regards to the gaming quiz system. As gamers you are our target audience for this system. Please format your questions as Q1: (then your response)
Thank you in advance for particpating.

Q1. What topics and types of questions would you like to see?
Q2. How long would you spend using the gaming quiz?
Q3. Should there be a time limit for answering the questions?
Q4. How many questions should there be in total?
Q5. Should there be any kind of reward for getting questions correct?
Q6. When a question is answered incorrectly, do you think that the game should be reset back to the beginning, you should have a certain number of lives before it resets, or you should have unlimited lives?
Q7. Would you also like some questions which have, for example, a picture of something game-related, and then a question on the picture, e.g. who is this a picture of?
Q8. Should the questions be retro-only, retro and modern, or completely modern based?
Q9. What kind of difficulty should the quiz be? should it go from medium-hard?
Q10. Any other issues not addressed in this questionnaire?

A quiz system for what? Would you be giving out tangible prizes? A gold star? Nothing?
This would greatly influence my answers :)

Q1. What topics and types of questions would you like to see?
Gameplay questions, collector questions, rarity questions, obscure questions.
Q2. How long would you spend using the gaming quiz?
20-30 mins for the quiz at MOST
Q3. Should there be a time limit for answering the questions?
no way! I hate being timed, makes me not think as well.
Q4. How many questions should there be in total?
100
Q5. Should there be any kind of reward for getting questions correct?
Nah, just give us a cool ranking to display here on the boards.
Q6. When a question is answered incorrectly, do you think that the game should be reset back to the beginning, you should have a certain number of lives before it resets, or you should have unlimited lives?
no, no, yes. No resetting, that gets annoying, just a simple fun quiz.
Q7. Would you also like some questions which have, for example, a picture of something game-related, and then a question on the picture, e.g. who is this a picture of?
yeah, but at most only 10 of em
Q8. Should the questions be retro-only, retro and modern, or completely modern based?
Retro and modern. Mostly retro becuase theres more to discuss retro wise
Q9. What kind of difficulty should the quiz be? should it go from medium-hard?
medium - hard...none of this wimpy little easy questions
Q10. Any other issues not addressed in this questionnaire?

Q1. What topics and types of questions would you like to see?
I prefer questions on the games themselves,("What color are the mushrooms in Super Mario Brothers?") rather than on the collecting aspect ("what's rarer, A or B?")
Q2. How long would you spend using the gaming quiz?
Depends how much I like it. :) Probably not very long, 10 or 15 minutes.
Q3. Should there be a time limit for answering the questions?
Nope.
Q4. How many questions should there be in total?
'Round 50 or so. Fairly many, so that the score is spread out over a wide variety of many areas.
Q5. Should there be any kind of reward for getting questions correct?
That'd be neat. :) Not essential though.
Q6. When a question is answered incorrectly, do you think that the game should be reset back to the beginning, you should have a certain number of lives before it resets, or you should have unlimited lives?
How about the usual way, where you do the whole thing and receive a score at the end?
Q7. Would you also like some questions which have, for example, a picture of something game-related, and then a question on the picture, e.g. who is this a picture of?
I like those. They make a nice change of pace.
Q8. Should the questions be retro-only, retro and modern, or completely modern based?
Mostly retro, with a smattering of modern. ("Retro" meaning anything before the current box, cube, and station generation)
Q9. What kind of difficulty should the quiz be? should it go from medium-hard?
You mean progressively get harder? Hmm, well, trial and error is really the only way to adjust difficultly. What's impossible to one person is cake to another.
Q10. Any other issues not addressed in this questionnaire?
Nope. I want to see this as it comes along. :)

Sorry there would be no physical prizes :monkey:
We were thinking of maybe a animation clip or somesuch, as it would most likely be implemented in flash !

It depends its not that important i suppose.
Q7. Would you also like some questions which have, for example, a picture of something game-related, and then a question on the picture, e.g. who is this a picture of?
