View Full Version : What's the word on Psycho Fox?
I've heard great things about this game, so I decide to check it out. However, the control has me really turned off: the platforming of a Mario combined with the speed and inertia of a Sonic! This makes jumping from platform to platform rather difficult, at least for me, especially since Psycho's walking speed is pathetically slow. Is getting used to the controls worth it, or should I just move on and play something else?

My sentiments exactly. For my SMS platform thrills, I skip this and go for Alex Kidd in Miracle World - a true classic.

Psycho Fox is a great game!
Just give it some time, once you adjust to the controlls, or find one of the alternate playable characters you like more, it gets much more enjoyable.

I like Psycho Fox quite a bit, but for my SMS platforming needs I usually do turn to Alex Kidd in Miracle World, as I like it a lot more.

I thought it was worth playing through. I enjoyed this one a good deal. I think it could benefit from an update though.

Speaking of Psycho Fox, I"ve noticed that the Genesis game Decap Attack's very similar to Psycho Fox. What's going on here?

Kid Kool -NES
Psycho Fox -SMS
Magical Hat adventure -Megadrive JAP
Decap Attack -Genesis
Kid Kool on the NES is like Psycho Fox, exept you can't punch, the screen doesn't scroll vertically very well, and you can only play as 1 character.
and Magical Hat/Decap attack are the same game with different graphics.

I enjoy the game a lot one of my favorite SMS but i dont have many SMS games. But it did take a little to get used to the controls
I had no idea about Magical Hat\Decap. Interesting..
I haven't gotten around to playing it again yet. I've been mostly sleeping and stuffing my face for Easter. Yay spring break.
