Today at a thrift store i saw a Gold Zelda (NES) cart for $34.99. I asked an employee about it and they said that since it was "gold" it was rare and a collectors item. Should I go back and pick it up?

If anything, I'd say the GRAY version's rarer than the Gold one. That seller is a moron. You need to ed-a-ma-cate them. Take them a SMB/DH cart and try to trade for it because everyone knows the Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt came with the system and is SURELY worth the same. 8-)

Then return next week and see how much the idiot's reselling it for. :evil:

you know everyones always quick to jump in and throw a "what an idiot" or a "fucking moron" here and there....

....but put yourself in an uneducated non-gamers shoes, all these gray carts and then you see a GOLD one, I can obviously see where they might think it's rare. We're not dealing with rocket scientists here, were dealing with thrift store employees, and anyone that has dealt with them before knows there not the brightest bulb in the town.

And obviously there not going to believe you when you tell em it's not rare, you're the one that's trying to buy it (whether you are or not), so you will lie, cheat, and even try to steal to get your way (at least in there eyes).

So in other words, do what I do, don't like the price, keep your mouth shut and complain about it to your friends and the board here, like you're doing now, it's fun to read about this! But don't try to change the mind of the people at the Thrift Stores....you can't do it.

My post wasn't directed at this one topic in general, it directed to all the topics that get posted like this. I'm trying to say just to look at both sides of the counter.

Anyways, everyone seems on edge lately, I'm taking an easter break tommorow. :D Happy Easter everyone!
