we had a little party yesterday and my freind broke out this stick and plugged it In and we played for a while and I owned everyone there in pac-man.I do have a gripe about that stick though because it is crap.Whats up with the design on the stick? You have to catch a groove in the stick to make it move,Its not smooth like a regular stick. The reset button is in a bad spot too!I was playing pac-man and I had one hand holding the stick and my palm hit the reset button.

I haven't done any comparison to the actual arcade machines, but I like the Namco Joystick BECAUSE it is crap. For example, if you play any of the Namco Museum titles, the controls are pretty responsive. Therefore, they don't feel like a typical arcade machine, which has been used and abused and generally feels a little less accurate than a typical console controller. That Namco stick "feels" more like an arcade game to me due to the fact that I find arcade games harder to control.
It could just be the little red ball at the top of the stick though. :D

your right, the stick is pretty crappy, but it is still a fun little thing to have. classic games without having to hook up a system is always a plus if you dont have the space or time to hook up a full system, plus you can play multiple games without having to switch carts.

the design is to get them off the shelves. It's eye pleasing. I'll get one when they start ending up at flee markets.

The stick isn't as bad as the half-assed emulation/simulation. No excuse for it in this day and age, what with all the high-tech gadgetry science is capable of. Where the hell is the speech in Bosconian? @_@
