I remember reading in Next Gen and other mags/sites about how there were going to be VMU slots on arcade games like HOTD 2, F335, Dead or Alive 2, NFL Blitz and other Naomi arcade games so that you could take your DC game files and use them at the arcade and vice versa. Has anyone ever seen an arcade game that had this feature?

I actually used the NFL Blitz N64 slot before. lol, could have been a cool feature but it was nerfed to keep people from playing longer on 50 cents.

I saw an N64 Nba Hangtime one before. And I also remember reading about the ability to use VMU cards in the arcades. Now I guess they can be used as weapons in third world countries. j/k

Some NeoGeo MVS arcade boards have a memory card slot. You could bring you NeoGeo AES (home cart) system mem.card and plug it into the arcade cab. My MVS 1-slot board has the Memory card slot (it's on a seperate litlle PCB, connected by a cable), but I never have it attached, as i never use my memory card on MVS or AES.

I go to this arcade called infiniti arcade and they had Ferrari F355 Challenge (2 player sit down version) and that one had a vmu slot for the japanese version of the DC game where you can save stats and use stats from DC version....but the coolest game that really utilized the VMU is Virtual On 2 2000 edition Version 5.66 where you actually need the utility disc for your DC to customize your mech with different colors and you can have messages you can send back and forth to each other on the arcade.
You also can have a personalized image too. This version only came out in Japan. You'd be very lucky to find it in a regular arcade but this arcade only has Japanese games... they also have Initial D but that takes a card that it spits out when you purchase it. I have two of them which I use and has some of my stats on there.
I don't think too many other games used the VMU slots since it was probably expensive to use and not as many people had DC compared to PS2. I think they opted for the cheaper paper game cards they spit out for sega games these days and everyone can use...
I also believe Virtual on Force uses the paper game cards too. If anyone wants to see what it looks like i can scan em.

Gaad, I'd settle for an arcade around here that just had the damn game, let alone version 5.66. Still that sounds cool.
Mark Turmell talked about the NFL Blitz using the N64 mem card in an interview in Game Informer a few months back. Good interview.
