good people of the digital press forums, please put my mind at ease - was Super Mario World ever released in the US as a non pack-in game - i.e. boxed etc.? Because if it was, I haven't seen it on ebay (only the PAL UK version).
what does it tend to go for?
This still remains one of the best games ever made and is still graphically compentent aswell as gameplay-wise even with todays 128 bit offerings. well that is my opinion anyway.
anyone know?

Hey Devilredeemed,
YES, the US ver of SMW (snes) was also released as a boxed retail version, like the hundreds of other snes games, it was also re-released, as a million seller cart.. as well
Just do a search on ebay (snes mario world) or (snes mario world) you'll get a ton of auctions have alittle look through and see what you find.
I'm sure you know all of this, but it is out there... now seek and yee shall find!! ;)
Maybe even some of the supa-doopa snes collectors here might have a pic of a boxed Super Mario World????
(Anybody!!!!!)

There was only a limited release of the original boxed version. The million seller box is far more common.

As already said, it was a separate game. I remember seeing it as a kid, thinking, "What the heck? Why is it $60 if it comes with your Super Nintendo?"

You know, I know it's out there, and common, but I think I've only seen one SMW cart in the wild that had the million seller label on it.
@Predatorxs: I couldn't find a pic of the non-million seller box of SMW on google, but I found a pic of the million seller box, it's here (http://www.sm128c.com/downloads/boxart.html). (scroll down to SNES box art and click "Super Mario World")
And yes, SMW is definitely one of the best games ever made.

I found this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=62053&item=8100329162&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW#ebayphotohosting
but the picture seems to be 'generic' and not the actual product (if you check the sellers other products, he has taken pictures of them, but they are of a completely diferent standard) so it may well be the million seller. I've asked him and am awaiting reply

Heh, lol.
Cagar= slang for "to take a crap"?
That's weird! I've never heard that before.
So a a liitle kid might say, "Mama, tienes a cagar! Donde esta el baño?"
Bungle=crap?
Oh, and to avoid threadjacking, I too used to see SMW in the package, sold seperately, and I thought, "WTF? It comes with the system! Why would any one ever....."
