Must have games for Sega Genesis

I'm hoping this is the proper forum for this question.

What are considered by most folks to be the absolute best games that were released for Sega Genesis? I know that's pretty subjective but I'm assuming the system had at least a couple of games that were considered classics. Any input that anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

No need to reply or move, someone just posted on the above mentioned thread called 50 best Games for Sega Genesis" I just finished taking some notes. Actually if anyone reading this has the power to delete a thread, then this one deserves to die.

Evidently, I still need to figure out how to use the sites search function because I certainly missed the above mentioned thread.
