Mortal Kombat Competition Edition for SNES

Somebody posted about this over on lost levels last month. I was going to wait to post about it here until i got mine in the mail so i could give more information on it, but it's been about 5 weeks now so i don't think it's coming. here's the link to an ebay auction for a complete one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3069518655 (you might want to watch doing any deals with that seller outside of ebay by the way. he's the same guy i bought one from) anyway, i noticed that this version isn't on the snes list so i figured i'd mention it here. i was told that its just the same as mortal kombat, but with "competition edition" on it. this variation seems MUCH rarer than the regular mortal kombat. anybody have mroe info?

I thought the competition edition was the standard release. I don't have my box here, but I will check next week.

I could be wrong, but all the ones I've seen have that on the box

looks like you're right. i feel stupid now. :embarrassed: i didn't even think to look for a pic of the regular box after reading the posts on LL. i just assumed that most of them didn't say it. oh well.

Hey all 'n' hey Matt,

like the everyone said, it's the normal game Mortal Kombat, but the one i'm still searching for is the Snes Preview copy that was sent to stores in the US.

I think it had one playable level and a few playable characters, the label was different as well, i missed it a few years back on the austrailian ebay, the seller said he'd bought it off ebay america thinking it was the normal mortal kombat?! (it was the american shaped cart as well)

It went for $40au dammmmmmme,... :roll:

Anyone else have any info on this thing?!?!
