this one should be easy...but i can't remember it

i thought it was galaga, but i'm wrong...it has graphics like galaga, but you go around in a circle sorta like tempest. i used to love this game and want to play it again.

Hey, since we're on the subject, solve this one for me. There's this arcade game from the '80s whose name I can never remember, but I really loved.

It was a first-person shooter which used the same controller as Atari's Star Wars, but it wasn't made by Atari. I kept thinking it was Data East, but I'm doubtful. The graphics were rendered in color bitmaps, the setting was outside, with buildings and aircraft that hurled giant glowing balls (bullets or whatever) at you.

I remember it being really tough. When you get shot by those balls, the whole screen shakes. I've never found it in MAME, and believe me, I've looked. Anyone have any ideas?

yep, that's it thanks. i love the sound effects and music for this game, and the game itself is just as cool as i remember. i just put a bid out on the nes version of the game, which i hope is a good port.
