Recently i got sick of having to put carts in, and take carts out when playing import games on my saturn. So i did an import code modification(found here: http://www.gamesx.com/importmod/sat_switchless.htm). Now, it works perfectly. I have tested all my import games on it, and it runs beautifully. This was my first time modding anything(besides painting, and cosmetic mods) so it took me a while. Including reading the instructions over & over, opening it up, getting the chip i needed from an old controller, and soldering it, the whole project probably took me a little under 5 hours....I know that's sad, but whatever. At least it works, and i even made some cosmetic changes. Check em' out: http://www.geocities.com/bryan85west/
....So what do y'all think? Have any of you guys modded your saturns? Got any pics?

Geocities... damn you geocities! :(
I haven't modded a system before, but I'd like to get my saturn done sometime.
I have a feeling i'd screw something up if I did it myself, that's why i'll have someone else do it ;)

I usually do the 'switched' mod. You did the slightly harder (I think) switchless mod. Nifty! And kudos to you!

Your site is unavailable. Put your pics on ripway. It's free, and easy.

I beleive if you C & P the geocities URL into the browser, and then type "???"(might be less question marks) It'll work. Or at least it usually does. But here are the pics anyway!

I need to plug another version 7.0 mod chip into my Saturn. I'm good and tired of swapping discs... it's such an exact science that it takes several tries before you can get the game in question to play. Nuts to that! I want my gaming fix now, without all the hassle!

Great feeling getting something to work all by yourself, ain't it?
It looks fantastic, a bit like a little... panda bear! :)

Has anyone done a double-switch Saturn mod for English/Jap & 50/60Hz switches? I've done the very easy Megadrive one, and I believe a similar Saturn mod is possible (but only on early models?).
I've been neglecting my Saturn lately as I cannot bear playing in 50Hz these days, but have been meaning to do this for a while. I'll have to open my 3 Saturns and see what board revs are in there.

I haven't heard of a language switch on Saturn.
In my experience, there's no way you can change language, not atleast using the jumpers on Saturn.
Also, english language should be coded into the game and I only know of one game with that feature (Soukyugurentai, legacy of the ST-V port).

ugh 56K users beware. You gotta make *real* thumbnails for them to actually do any good.
Anyway, the paint job looks VERY nice. Great job :)

Sorry, I meant region mod & 50/60Hz mod, not one to change the language setting.

LOL man that'd be cool if you could change the game's laguages! I cant read japanese at all, but i think im gonna learn katakana(sp?). My sis is very good with japanese(she is living in japan right now) so when i really need something translated i send a screenshot to her 8-)
