Posted this to AtariAge, but thought I'd share this here too:

Get a load of this chucklehead. He's selling Berkerk VE and Haunted House 3D. No problem with that, though some may scream "profiteer."

Here's what pisses me off. He calls each one a "prototype" in the auction title. THEN, he says in the auction description, "Oh yeah, these aren't prototypes, I just wanted to get your attention."

So, who wants to lay the smackdown on this idiot? Someone want to contact Safeharbor for shifty selling practices? If this is legal I've got several Combat prototypes to sell. OK, so they're not prototypes, but I wanted you to check out the auction.

What an ass. Here are the links:

Sent him this "question to seller":

A prototype that's not a prototype?

yep, you got this collectors attention. Note to self, ignore nil8's auctions in the future. Misleading, dishonest descriptions.

best of luck.

Wee, this is fun! Here's mine:

Guess I should start sticking "sex" in all of my auction titles since, even though it doesn't describe what I generally sell, it still theoretically caters to the same audience. I can see it now...

"Brand New Turok Evolution SEX INCLUDED - NR!"

*adds another dishonest seller to ignore list*

Were the auctions pulled? The links lead to 'invalid items.'

I was going to report those misleading title to eBay but eBay said the auction was already under investigation so I didn't need to submit the reports.

"Rare import!"

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2065634835

but as soon as you get into the auction, "it's not rare, or an import".

Gimp.

If I report this to ebay, will they pull it as well?

Definately hammer them. THis kind of keyboard spamming has got to stop. Especially when the auction guy all but admits he lied in the first line of his auction text.

Whatta dick. I'm gonna go report him right now. I suggest everyone else do the same.
