I actually found a loose copy of Urban Yeti at a GameCrazy last month. Only copy I've ever seen in the wild too. From what I played of it, it looks to be an interesting game. Too bad there's a password save instead of a battery save. Oh well.

I just found a sealed copy of Super Collapse II at Game Crazy tonight, 19.99 and they said they had it forever, lucky me. The local EB has Castlevania HOD, Breath Of Fire, Super Dodgeball Advance and a few others too, don't seem to be too rare to me.

funny most of you cant find the titles listed on this topic but I can find them all in right here in california, but the prob is that cali sucks for the basic gba games like fire emblem , wario ware , mario games , metroids and etc .

I'm starting to see Karnaaj Rally in the wild a bit more often than I used to. In fact, I recall seeing at least four copies in the last month.

And since Seanbaby recently bashed the game in his EGM column again, let me say that it's actually a pretty fun racing game, and if you liked Racing Gears Advance, it's worth a try if you come across a copy. It's too bad that the boxart was so bad - it really turned a lot of people off.

As for Castlevania HOD, I would say it's not rare at all, just in demand. I have seen it a little more often (along with AOS) since the double pack was released.

Giving this a bump because there's one recently released GBA game I have yet to see ANYWHERE: Street Racing Syndicate.

I'm pretty surprised it's been so hard to find considering it was published by DSI Games, whose games usually collect dust at game stores everywhere. LOL Kinda odd.

It's supposedly $9.99 used at GameStop/EB, but no store within 200 miles of me has a copy. Amazon.com has a listing for it, with no new or used copies available. Have any of you seen it anywhere?

Lots of the games mentioned here aren't that rare at all.
I managed to spot these pretty easy in some internet stores:
Lunar Legend
Cima: The Enemy
megaman and bass
R-Type III
Lunar Legend
Sonic Advance
Double Dragon Advance
Breath of Fire
R-Type III: The Third Lightning
Wario Land 4

However I have a hard time finding new versions of these:
Ninja Five-0
Pocky & Rocky & Becky
Car Battler Joe
Tiny Toon Adventure's: Buster's Bad Dream.
ZOE: Fist of Mars
Onimusha Tactics: The Knights of Lodis
Wario Land 4
Sonic Pinball Party. (Allthough you can get it for about 20 bux in a doublepack with Sonic Advance)

Whoops...Wrote some of them twice.
(Wario Land 4 is supposed to be on the hard-to-find list just so you know)

I picked up a new ZOE: Fist of Mars from frys.com last week. :D

It only took me a couple of years to find that one (and one was all they had when I placed the order).

I don't think Bejeweled exists for GBA; I know I am two years late responding to this too!

Update on Street Racing Syndicate: I spotted it at a Best Buy last week - they had around 5 or 6 copies with the budget GBA stuff. I also spotted a couple copies at Bi-Mart (a local discount membership store chain) and have yet to see it anywhere else.

I have a feeling SRS may become a little more common in the GBA budget bins and may not be more than a little scarce at best. I still have yet to see it at Wal-Mart, Target, GameCrazy, or GameStop/EB though, so we'll see.

As for Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Bad Dream, new copies used to be a common sight in Fred Meyer's GBA budget racks for $15. The game is getting tougher to find new and used, but some FM out there has probably has one.

On another note, I picked up a new copy of Colin McRae 2.0 at a GameCrazy in October for four bucks. :)

How hard is a copy of Zelda Minish Cap Not For Resale to find? I found one tonight at Game Crazy and picked it up.

I got Ninja Five-O at a GameStop Monday night, cart only for $7.99. It's the second copy I've seen in the last couple months. Glad I finally have it - the only reason I passed up the other copy was because the label was in pretty bad shape.

I don't see Karnaaj Rally as much as I used to. My copy of Urban Yeti is still the only one I've ever seen in the wild. I haven't seen a copy of Street Racing Syndicate anywhere since I got it at Best Buy. but then again, I haven't been to that Best Buy since the day I got it there.

I saw a copy of Santa Claus saves the Earth today at Video Games Etc. How rare are these now? It is released by Telegames so it won't be common but there are a few copies on Ebay but they never turn up anywhere else.

Not really a game but I'm pretty sure that Pocket Professor gba cartridge will end up being quite rare.

How about Metal Slug Advance? I haven't seen that anywhere for almost 2 years, but then again, I only pay attention to the CIB games. I'm just curious if I should keep sitting on the factory-sealed version that I have ;)

That never came out in the USA technically. They (Everyone) are only selling Euro versions.

I had a stash of these sealed that I could not give away for $25 each. They are uncommon, but far from rare.

One game I'm glad my friend got for me in Japan was Elevator Action Old and New, I NEVER see that on eBay.

I found a TON of Tiny Toons Scary Dreams at a local BJ's Wholesale Club. I was looking in the racks of all the throwaway GBA games and I saw three copies and picked one up because it was less then 20 bucks and Treasure made it.

The game's alright but it NEEDS a block button. It plays a lot like a beat em' up but so many things swamp the screen and it's easy to die because you can't block.

Joe had a copy of Minish Cap at the DP store, I ALMOST got it but my credit card kept getting rejected... :(

Why the hell are Nintendo first party games hard to find? Minish Cap, Wario Ware Twisted and Touch. I can never find them.

Any of the TOMY games, Little League Baseball 2002 by New Kid Co, Pocket Professor you can't find in stores, just online, there are around 10 that are pretty hard to locate, but I can't think of them right now. I know Little League Baseball's box is brutally tough.

I don't know if these are indeed rare or just not available in my area but they're the only ones missing from my collection that I've never seen locally.

Boulder Dash EX
Gem Smashers
Motocross Maniacs Advance
Sea Trader

Also while not rare, finding complete copies of Konami Krazy Racers and the Mickey Mouse games seems to be harder than it should be.

Street Racing Syndicate recently became a common sight among Target's $14.99 bargain games. I now think that it's going to be a little uncommon, but not necessarily hard to find.

On another note, I'm glad to finally have both of the CT Special Forces games.

I rarely, if ever, see Alien Hominid for sale. It was never released in the US. I have only seen a copy of it once and could just kick myself for not picking it up.

Great thread guys!

I bought Road Trip: Changing Gears for the GBA. And have yet to see it in any store. Is this title rare, or just one of those games that is hard to find in my location?

It's been over a year since anyone's written here, but no one has mentioned ice Nine. Good luck finding that game in the wild! Also, I found Strike Force Hydra a long time ago at Sam's Club.

Samurai Deeper Kyo. It only comes bundle with the DVD series.

DreamTR
08-03-2010, 12:22 PM
I'm not sure why you think Ice Nine is hard to find. If you can find it on Amazon it's not hard to get:

http://www.amazon.com/Ice-Nine-Game-Boy-Advance/dp/B00007F8P9/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1280852454&sr=8-1

It's definitely not in the same league as Little League World Series (wtf it is called) by New Kid Co.

And mind you, I am talking games with boxes/manuals. Video Game Connections must be sitting on a stockpile of those if Etler is selling it...

DHrox

I meant in the wild. Maybe it's just regional, but I've never seen it since the one time. You won't find a CIB copy without going online either.

DreamTR

In the wild a LOT of stuff is rare. Heck, almost ANY Atari game out here is "rare" in the wild. To me it's rare if you can't find it on ebay/Amazon/Half.com/Yahoo Japan/ebay Worldwide...I can tell you that game is not that hard to find...there were stacks of them when I lived in California and Etler lives in Jersey..in this day and age (and has been for me for 13 years, the length of time I have been on ebay) it's all about online for finding stuff if you can't find it locally...

Ditto on the Samurai Deeper game--I believe it was a Best Buy only exclusive with larger packaging due to the DVD.

The 2 rarest GBA games are Math Patrol and Word Safari, both by the same company. They weren't on a single rarity list until a year ago, and only 2 of each have shown up on eBay in the last 4 years. There are a couple on Amazon right now, but there wasn't a single copy on Amazon for 3 years up until roughly a year ago. Thread's a little old, but figure I should give everyone a heads up, since this still isn't on a lot of rarity lists.
