Well, nowhere near the first post's find but I'm getting lucky with true complete TG-16 games...

complete Klax (box, jewelcase, manual, hucard & sleeve) - $25
complete Alien Crush (see above) - $15

not cheap per se, but it's definitly value since TG games with a box are insane to come by. These with my SEALED Fantasy Zone for $10 and I'm making a nice little Duo collection here.

Could you tell us how you came across those? :-P

I suppose, since you are so far away!! You just have to make sure Flack and Raedon don't read this cause they are fairly local to me!! LOL

Nah, it's no big secret really. My business partner makes it a habit to check the classifieds for all the major cities within about a 250 - 300 mile radius pretty much every day. He covers the papers and I stay on top of the internet sources. But anyway, he was doing his normal check yesterday and came across these. Called me to get financing for the deal and he was gone within an hour to pick them up. We were just really lucky on this one!

Deals like this don't turn up often, but it's sure nice when they do!!

And yea, they were $50 a pop, so $300 total for the deal.

Nothing like the arcade find, but I think they're still pretty good.

ALL SEALED, BRAND SPANKIN' NEW

SNES:

ZERO, The Kamakazie Squirrel - $14.99
S.O.S. - $14.99
Super BONK - $14.99

GEN:

Nobunaga's Ambition - $9.99
Powerball - $1.99

And, because it's "SO RARE" LOL , I picked up ANOTHER ZERO game - brand new, but not sealed.

SO - WHO NEEDS A ZERO??

Good methods, man. It obviously works.

Yep. Every now and again one of us will find a deal. A couple of weeks ago, my buddy found 20 games for $200! Classics too. Only problem was they had been in a barn for a lot of years and about half of them were a loss. We stripped the worst ones down and ended up with quite a few good parts for other projects, so it was still well worth the effort!

The best way I've found to get deals on arcades is to watch the local papers (Thrify Nickel and the like are the best) and any local forsale groups on usenet. The only other thing I actively try to do is make sure that everybody knows I collect games. I got a nearly mint, working Millipede for $150 through a friend of mine. He worked with a guy that had it in his garage, told the guy I always pay cash, and next thing I knew we had a deal!

Alright, my finds for Friday:

Nothing!

I saw another ALS Industries case, looked just like the Genesis one I bought but was for tapes and had an "ALS" sticker on the drawrer lip (well, it's like a lip but it recesses at an angle instead of sticking out) as opposed to a Genesis sticker.

I saw a Pokemon board game.

A couple NES carts in blister-style packs, from some game store or other: Platoon (recently got it) and SMB/Duck Hunt! There was also a plain Sonic cart (Genesis, not sure if I've got that one, but I have 2 ;).

I WAS SO THRILLED.

I wish I'd gone to the other place downtown that I've never visited before, but that one's too far away :/

Today, I went to a couple of thrifts and didn't find much:

Strider (NES, loose) - $2.99
Super Spike V-Ball (NES, loose) - $.99 (nice stickers on both, though)

Also, I got a review copy of World Tour Soccer 2005 for PS2 with a PlayStation 2 hacky-sack that looks like a soccer ball. Not much since it's 989 Sports, but if I hurry up and write about it, World Tour Soccer 2005 might somehow get transformed into a new copy of Skies of Arcadia Legends at Gamestop on Sunday. LOL

Anyway, tomorrow is the big yard sale season opening day here. Let the players take the field!

My sister brought me a big Max Payne 2 stand and one of those big white FFXI stands. The FF stand didn't have all the stuff with it, but it still looks good. Her Gamestop is run by non-gamers, I think, so I can get her to get me lots of free promo stuff. I also found some Wrath Unleashed cards or something in a magazine I get.

Those arcade finds are out of this world! Congrats.. anyhow my finds were pretty damn good myself, and after being one minute from snagging two panesians last week, this was a descent turn around

Ran into a collection of Dreamcast, Saturn, and pc-enging/Pcfx/Duo stuff

One of my rivals actually got there first but all he bought was the MIB pcfx system and about 6 games (no idea which games he got) he didn't bother with the games too much because the asking price was 10 bux a piece (mainly all super CD rom games all Complete).. I ended up buying just about everything at 4 bux a piece :-)

I haven't really gone through this stuff too much but Highlights are

Dracula X (stolked beyond belief to grab this one), Cotton Boomermang, Cotton 2, Guardian heroes,
Double Dragon 2 (Super CD) , nearly every saturn porn game haha, Damn.. tons and tons of porn for all platforms, Their virtually all good actually, this guy was into his gaming, all the major Unreleased rpgs and surprisingly they all have spines too

Then, I went to Gamestop this afternoon and got a used copy of Max Payne (non-Platinum Hits) for Xbox for $10. Man, I remember when this game retailed for $50 and small children were begging me to sell it to them. Oh, the good old days...

Wow, great yard sale finds all around the place I see. Good stuff.

I started my yard saling last week, got some decent stuff, but not like this week.

This week I ran into a yard sale with some common gen and nes carts for $.25 and $.50 each respectively. Cool, I grab them. A woman from across the street says "oh we have an xbox I've been thinking of selling, no one ever uses it. I'll go get it." She comes back saying it's not an Xbox, it's a Ps2, and it's her son's but he won't get out of bed. She sends her daughter to get him out of bed to deal with me but apparently he yells at her, calls her a fat hobag, and then goes back to bed. She comes out with the Ps2 and says, "my brother is a total dickhead, give me $40 and $5 each for the games (two avg sports games). " I quickly hand her $50 and walk away with a like new PS2, two controllers, a mem card, and two sports games for FIFTY DOLLARS.

Hit a Moving Sale this afternoon on the way to a 3-yr. old Birthday Party with my son.

Gran Turismo and Spyro the Dragon, for the Playstation, in original Jewelcases with instructions - $3 for both.

Game Gear, 2 games with plastic cases - Sonic 2, The Majors Pro Baseball, all instruction booklets, and Sega Game Gear carrying case with shoulder strap. The Game Gear is in pretty good shape, though it does show slight scratches on the screen. -- $5.

I passed on an original Playstation - I saw nothing wrong with it, but I already have one that works fine and didn't ask the price. After getting the other stuff as cheaply as I did, I regretted not asking about it. Oh well, there's more out there.

By the way Chadtower what part of Massachusets do you live in?
You made it sound like you lived in the middle of the boonies. LOL

Heh... I live right near Gillette Stadium. I believe this yard sale was actually in Foxboro. GREAT FIND on that PDS.
