I got a message that says an e-mail I sent hadn't gone through after 4 hours. The e-mail I was supposed to have sent (which I didn't) was to an Ebay seller inquiring on what I owed to complete an Ebay auction. The price showing in that e-mail was for about $56...some computer peripheral or something. However, when I clicked on the link to check the auction, it was for a $1,300 computer! It was apparently a dutch auction, 8 sold. When I clicked on that link (curious to see if my name was there), I couldn't go there as it said only successful bidders had access to that page. Whew...

It's still weird, though... :hmm:

I get similar emails all the time. The subject is something like "Re: Question regarding item #877596587906806589590." The email looked authentic and I was buying a lot of stuff, so I clicked on it the first time I got it and it takes you take a fake ebay page with some ridiculously priced item. I tried going to ebay for real and looking up the item number -- surprise -- it doesn't actually exist.

Tricky scam, though. Everything looked very real. It had me worried for a few days, until I started receiving six or seven a day.

At least no one's e-mailed me asking "Where the heck's my $1300???"... :D
