As far as I have been searching, there are no purely external mod chips for the ps2. Most USB styles require you to crack the case and solder at least one wire.

You're more likely to find a US GT at eBay.

no i've see external mod chips that you can plug in the back and it will work

What is it called?

I know there are MOD chips like that for the PSX, but I have never seen on like that for PS2. I want one myself.

It is called an "Action Replay" I believe it was made by interact.

I can get The Jap version of DBZ legend locally for 20.00 I believe. It will be used. I can check if you would like.

Well Maybe i was aiming more for the english version. If you could get a mod chip, I might be interested

If Japanese isn't a problem for you then I'd suggest getting the Japanese version. I've seen lots for all 3 of the Japanese PSX DBZ games for $30 on Ebay many times. You'll probably have to pay $200+ for a complete US version of Final Bout alone.

Keep in mind that Final Bout SUCKS. The only reason I got it is because I was hardcore DB fan way back when. You may not want to shell out the tons of cash for it, and in that sense, I would recommend the much much cheaper import version if you really really want to play it.

Thanks for the heads up on the action replay....I'll look into it.

I've heard rumors that Atari might be re-releasing the game in the future. I'd be a little surprised if they didn't.

If you really want the game at any expense, it's available on gamestop.com... but it's gonna cost ya.

link (http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product_id=933168&affid=99999&sourceid=qIbAQItmK0dOAmk9yYVN&siteid=0040451529)

I doubt you'd go with that option, but I find it interesting and a little odd that it's actually available on their website.

DigitalSpace: Thanks for the information, I already knew about the gamestop web site that has it. I hope that they will re-release when i'm still a DB/Z/GT fan.

I cant find any Action Replay for PS2 that allows you to play imports. Does anyone have a link?

Honestly. If you want it that bad you have 2 options. Get off your rear end and go game hunting until you find it. Or suck it up and pay too much for it on ebay. I was lucky enough to have a friend find it and call me if I wanted it. I had him buy it for me and it will never leave my possesion ;) Unless someone can pry it from my cold dead hands :P Not that it was all that good of a game anyhow. It wasnt horrible IMO, but surely wasnt on the better end either. -_-

I have Dragonball Final Bout, Japanese Version (SLPS 91079); I'm not sure if that's the one that you're looking for. It is in the original case but is missing the manual. Let me know if you're interested. :)

I doubt anyone here has a DBZ for you. If they did, you'd probably have it by now after two weeks of asking. You are best off doing what captain nintendo suggested...go hunting for it or buy one off ebay.

Dont get me wrong. I was lucky enough to have one fall into my lap ;)
But I go game hunting alot. Thats what makes me so proud of my collection.
Yes so tynstar from dp (my best friend) happened upon that game for me and he knows I am a psx and DBZ fan so he called me and of course I said yes. I suppose it doesnt hurt to repeat asking for it here. But honestly I will probably never part with that game because I am DBZ fan and a collector ;)
Good luck getting one however :D
