How many square feet do you use for your game room or space? If you use the space for stuff other than video games (big things like a pool table or kids playroom), do tell.
Oh, and where do you live? (Square footage is a major feat in Manhatten, but less of a challenge in Kentucky.)

My "game room" is my bedroom. :( Which is also the only room in the house that it mine and where my stuff can be. It sucks not having my own apartment or house...

I've got the former master bedroom of our house (before the previous owner built the carport out into a new master bedroom). I offered to take that newer addition instead as the game room, since it's connected to the attic and tends to be drafty when it's cold, and has its own exterior door, but nope, Mrs. PDF wanted to use that as the master bedroom.
Now that everything's kinda locked into place, we've realized that the game room is actually bigger than the master bedroom.
Somehow, I still manage to be married despite this. She's a very patient woman, that wife of mine. LOL

In our tiny apartment, the game room is approx. 99 sq. ft. That's not TOO bad IMO, and doesn't include the closet that I use, and DOES include the computer and rather large computer desk, as well as a small freezer, so I don't get ALL the space in the room. I get a good chunk though. But I can tell you....100 sq. ft. is NOT enough for a game room. I need one that's at least 200-250 I think.
Oh yeah...and I'm in a small town (of about 10,000) in SW Ontario. Space isn't a real premium like Manhattan, but it's not exactly a sprawling manor house here either.

The only room I have is my own bedroom. I have 6 boxes of systems/controllers/power adaptors stacked beside my computer, and the walls are COVERED with shelves.
My room is 12X12, and I have 4 shelves per wall, and they go the length of the walls...

104 FEET of that premium Kentucky space you were talking about ianoid. Just bought this house so I am stuck with it for a little while. I guess I could always finish the basement. I think I would worry too much about water damage though.

I voted a good size room.
My game room is in 2 places. My bedroom which is half of the top floor of my house (parent's bedroom is the other half) is my main gaming area. My room consists mainly video games, video game related items, computers and a bed.
Then, in my basement is my home "arcade." I have a 4-Slot dedicated MVS red sides cab and a sit-down Nintendo VS. cab. There is also a shelve on the wall for my extra MVS shit.....i.e. 2 extra games and a kit box which I hope to add more games to this summer.
My game room is either just over or just under 400 sq ft. I got 3 pinball machines, 2 arcade cabinets, a fridge, a microwave for fine dining :-P , bumper pool/poker table, foosball table, air hockey table, my bigscreen TV and all my systems and games, dressers and shelves everywhere, and my bed cause it's also my room. I live in South Surrey, B.C.

Ah!! That sounds really nice. I share a room with my brother in a room that is only about 12x 20. A bunk bed is in there, 2 dressers, my bros book case then the rest is shelves.

Less than 50 sq. feet(a few cabinets, shelves, shoeboxes or a closet.)
All my games are stored in my room, which is decent size...but since I don't have that much stuff (~180 games total?) It doesn't take up much space :p

I've got a less than 8x10 room (part of one wall indents a couple feet, giving me less than a rectangle.
I'd be willing to bet than I have more games (and gaming items) per cubic foot than anyone. I have shit crammed in every little nook and cranny. Every wall is covered in shelves and bookcases, except where I have my desk, entertainment stand, bureau and desk and bed.
However, the entertainment stand and desk and bureau have shelves built onto them above them (except the bureau---the top is a "shelf" and wall shelves are above it ). The bureau has only one drawer dedicated to clothes (socks and underwear and shit). My closet is crammed full of shelves for games (I keep my clothes in the closet of the family computer in another room. Hey, no one was using it). My bed is raised an extra foot to fit mor boxes of games under it.
Way too much shit, way too little space. When I sit back and look at my room, I have much "fun" thinking of new and inventive ways of fitting more shit in it. Maybe hang nets or something from the ceiling? Maybe raise the bed some more?
You know it's bad when you store stuff under that little space under the bureau that you usually lose your socks under. And the same goes for the space like that under the book shelves and bottom desk drawers.

Way too much shit, way too little space.
Welcome to my world. My collection, packed solid in boxes with no isles or space takes up a two car garage. Unpacked, to have it all on display, I'd need 400 sq ft, I would estimate.
If you can see wall between the games, you aren't using your space well enough. You should only be able to see games and shelves. No air. Shelves should reach the ceiling. And you should trip on games regularly. If you are not tripping over games, you aren't getting enough new ones, and you have too much time to put them away or sell them.
One of my primary goals in life is 400 sq. feet of space for games only.

I've got one full bedroom dedicated to arcades. Currently houses Galaga, Millipede, Tron, Smash TV, Sinistar, Super Off Road and my South Park Pin.
In my living room, I have Warlords, Ataxx, Tempest, and a 33" jamma cab. In my office I have my mame cocktail. Oops, forgot the dartboard!
Then there's the 20 some odd cabs that are taking up half of my 2 car garage. Stacked tight, 2 rows deep.
I need help!! O_O

I am one of the lucky ones.
My upstairs "man cave" (off limits to wifes everywhere) is 16x24. It's my home theater, which doubles as my game room. All the modern consoles are up there, hooked up to the projector. That's approx 384 sq. foot.
Add to that my outdoors gameroom, the one that my room of doom pictures are of (the one with the black and white checkered carpet and all my arcade cabinets). It's 16x48, that's another 768 sq. foot of boy's room only.

That is a sweet collection of stand-ups. Dunno about the South Park Pinball, but you've named most of the titles that I'd want. Add Robotron, Discs of Tron, maybe a couple more. Great choices!
