This is a continuation of the rare PS2 thread, I'm starting to play and collect (mostly play) PS2 games with anime style graphics, be 2D or cell-shaded, so far I've identified the following, it's no brainer that most are niche titles from Japan that publisher make a limited run only on PS2:

Bombastic
Capcom vs SNK 2 ME (not EO)
Culdsept
Disgaea
Disney's Pk: Out of the Shadows
Ephemeral Fantasia
Escape from Monkey Island
Gitaroo-Man
Grandia Xtreme
Gradius 3,4,5
Growlanser Gen
Guilty Gear X, XX, XXX(coming soon)
Harvest Moon
Kingdom Hearts
Kingdom Hearts 2 (coming soon)
KOF 2000/2001
KOF 2002 (coming soon)
La Pucelle: Tactics (Disgaea 2)
Magic Pengel
Mr Maestro
Mr Mosquito
Phantom Brave (coming soon, also called Disgaea 3)
Ring of Red
Robotech Battlecry
Silpheed
Sky Gunner
Street Fighters 3: 3rd Strike (coming soon)
Space Channel 5 SE
Suikoden 3
Unlimited Saga
Wild Arms 3
Yanya Caballista

Did I miss any other good ones? They don't have to be rare. I like most of the Koei games so they don't need to be mentioned. I've seen many PS2 games at retail stores and I had near zero interests (piles of sports games and mindless sgorefests such as GTA and Manhunt) until I researched some recently online, good titles tend to be made in very limited run and can only be purchased from eBay or right at release dates in store.

I'll keep this listed updated when I come up with games, games that also come out on other systems (GC/Xbox) should be excluded unless other versions are almost impossible to find. I can hold off now, they tend to be easier to get, here's another list for those multi-console games:

Auto Modellista
Grandia 2
Megaman X7
Megaman Anniversary
Megaman X: Command Mission (coming soon)
TM Ninja Turtles
Rayman 2,3, Arena
Super Bust-A-Move 2
Viewtiful Joe (coming soon to PS2)

Let's keep brainstorming and make this thread fun, I've missed out a lot of good PSX games at release (ie: Ogre Battle, ouch), it won't happen with PS2.

You'll want to add:

Mega Man X7
Gungrave
the .hack series
Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter
Dark Cloud 2
Dragonball Z Budokai 1 and 2
Klonoa 2
Magic Pengel
Monster Rancher 3 and 4
Mister Mosquito
Okage: shadow King
Robotech Battlecry
Suikoden 3

to that list. All these games are either cel shaded or anime styled. And more importantly, they're all great! Hope I helped!

This is kind of a tough call, but Mark of Kri has sort of cell shaded graphics. It's actually styled to look like modern Disney animation If you're got Kingdom Hearts on there, I'd go with that one too.

Also add Ring of Red.
