There's actually little that I want at this point since I just got the XBox and am already awash in so many games I can never play them all. But I wouldn't turn down a Vectrex if I came across one in good working order at the right price.

There are few systems I would actually avoid but I've no real interest in portable systems (maybe Sony can turn me around next year) and I especially don't want a Virtual Boy.

And do you feel you have too many systems or not enough?
I probably do have too many. Would I sell any? Probably. There's a few I really don't play much and, for one reason or another, have never really been that fond of.

I think I have just about enough. I'm already at the point where hooking up anything else is tough (my 5200, 32X, Saturn, and some computers are not connected, but everything else is). Once I get the few systems I listed as essential, I could retire to just collecting cartridges, and forget about goofy systems like the R-Zone and CD-i, but I don't think I could ever consider my collection "finished" without a NeoGeo.

Do I have too many systems? Yes. When I first deceided to collect, I went out and got every system I could lay my hands on. What ended up happening is that I had a bunch of systems, but no games to play. I now activily collect for less than half my systems, and can finally look at some decent sized collections.

I feel like I have too many already. It's not that I don't want anything new, because I'll gladly take what I can get. It's just mostly because I have a lack of time to play the games. Sure, I'm a collector, but I collect because I like to play games. I currently have probably a good 50 games that haven't even been in a system, not to mention a few games that aren't even open yet. I'm really trying to be serious about beating at least one game for every new game that I get (unless I just can't pass up the deal). It's tough to do though.

Har. I remember seeing an ad for the system when it was brand new and thinking "holy cow Tiger makes something that for once doesn't suck!" It was like discovering that your lunchbox doubled as the nuclear briefcase or something...a huge "whoa" moment. Well, as time goes on, my interest in the system is still probably too high for how good the system reportedly is, and I'm not actively searching out one.

I'm going to do this a different way than usual. I don't purposely avoid hardware most of the time, so my don't want list is a list of things either I had and sold or I have and can't get rid of for some reason (I'll even add that reason :) )
- 3DO - I only have two games for it. I have played probably 75% of the library, and I don't like much of any of it. But there are two games I keep it for -- Incredible Machine and Lost Eden. And I own their PC counterparts for both too...
- Saturn - I had one for the longest time, but I played through all the games I wanted to and then sold it. I don't want to play through anything else on it right now, so it qualifies in my book.
- PS2 - It isn't so much that I don't want one, it just is that I don't want to pay so much to get one because I'm only interested in a few games (Maximo, mainly)
- CDX - I don't know why I keep this around, but I can't seem to convince myself to sell it. I have only played I think one Sega CD game on it ever though.
