It's Raffle time kiddies. Yeah that's right, a raffle!
But this one's spiced up, homez.

So, not only is there a region modded TG16 up for grabs, but also a Turbo Booster! Wait, that's not all! Also a Ninja Spirit as well! Yeah, that's right, 3 items with each entry!!

Here's the details on the items:

Top Prize Region Modded TurboGrafx-16 with accessories.
Nice condition (especially the console itself) unit including original AC and Rf adapter and a fully tested original joypad. This unit has the region mod, which allows you to play both US and Japanese HuCards on this one system!! And if you plug this unit into your TGCD player, you can use a japanese System Card 3.0 and the Arcade Card Pro!!

Normal Price: $70 shipped.

1st Runner Up TurboBooster
For those that don't know, you slap this bad boy on the back of your TG16 and you can get RCA/composite video and audio out. Much better than the Rf output of the standard deck itself.

Normal Price: $25 shipped

2nd Runner Up Ninja Spirit HuCard with Manual
Considered by many to be one of the best HuCards for the TG16! Great translation of the arcade classic! This is a US version HuCard

Normal Price: $10-15 shipped

So, "how do I enter?" Well, it's like the lottery. You pick your numbers, buy a ticket, and wait.

Here's the deal.

For $2, you pick 3 numbers between 100-999.
For $3, you pick 6 numbers between 100-999
For $4, you pick 9 numbers between 100-999

How the winners are selected.
After the raffle runs it's course (one week), I will use the random number generator on my trusty Casio fx-260solar calculator to select the winning number. The output of that random number is a three digit number like 0.XXX
I will check all entries for this number (in any order on the entry, not necessarily first) and the one that has it wins! If 2 or more entries have that number, I will then generate another random number and the entry (selected from those that made the cut) with the number closest to that wins! After the first winner is selected, I will proceed with the next and the next in the same fashion. After a number wins, it will be removed from "competition", but the rest of that person's entry will remain active for the subsequent picks.

So, each number you buy will be good for three items each!
$2 = 9 chances to win something
$3 = 18 chances to win!
$4 = 27 chances to win!

The TG16 and Booster will be mailed by Priority Mail with tracking info. The Ninja Spirit will be by standard mail. So for less than the price of shipping you can win!

This raffle will end on Friday April 23rd at Noon Pacific Time. It will end then, no matter the outcome of the entries (meaning how many people enter). For those that want feedback on me, I'm "dragsy" on eBay and "D-Lite" at Neo-Geo.com. Feel free to ask me questions!

Enter by:

Sending entry fee to PayPal at either ddragoli@earthlink.net (bank/balance transfer ONLY) or ddragoli@chemrx.com (credit card)
In the Subject field, enter "TG Raffle"
In the Note field, enter your numbers! Please hit <return> after each number to make it a list

Oh, and international bidders are welcome, but you will be expected to pay shipping on that.....

I'm going out on a limb here, but say you don't manage to sell 899 numbers.

Odds are you aren't going to find a winner with your selected number. Will you "draw" again or is that it? You keep the money and the prize (like a real lottery)?

Umm... did you check this out with Joe? If I'm not mistaken non-sanctioned lotteries are illegal.

Well, first up, I will draw a number until I get one someone has. Guess I didn't make that especially clear, sorry.
ALL 3 items will be gone at the end. I will not stop drawing numbers until all 3 items are gone!

With regards to "non-sanctioned lotteries", it does not say anything about that in the guidelines for the Selling Forums. I did not check with Joe on this, but I can't imagine it's a bad thing. Any link to such a thing? If you mean "illegal" outside of this forum, just in general, fine, we'll call it a raffle.

LOL Sorry, I just found that rather amusing.

Thanks for filling me in

A lottery is defined as a contest containing the elements of:

Prize – Something that can be won (cash, merchandise, service)
Chance - An element of randomness that does not require skill
Consideration - A required forfeiture of value (money, time)

If you've ever wondered why the phrase "NO PURCHASE NECESSARY" appears so often, it's to prevent contests from becoming lotteries.

With few, usually charitable exceptions, lotteries are illegal under most state laws. Not that I care, but what you're trying to do is illegal regardless of what you choose to call it.

Sorry, D-Lite, I really like you and applaud your creativity here but I don't like the precedent it sets here. If you find this decision unfair in any way, please PM me.
