It's unfortunate, but you see this stuff all the time. People wrap up their used stuff and call it new (not that this auction is definitely bad). You'll see people here posting the most obvious examples of used "NIB" stuff regularly in eBay Insanity.

this guy is selling *brand new* dreamcast and playstation stuff that he bought 4 years ago and never touched. Now, does the fact that he's selling used dreamcast and playstation games give it away that the other stuff aren't new?

My boyfriend has a Dreamcast driving wheel in it's box that he's never used but he's played his Dreamcast religiously. Maybe this seller really never got a chance to use the Arcade stick. He says he bought it for his wife... maybe she's the weird kind that doesn't like video games. :P
