Those controllers came with the Sharp television that has the NES built into it. It is called the Game Television. I dont know how rare or how much they are worth. I got one (to go with my Game Television) off ebay for $4 a few months ago. Hope that helps a little.

DP guide to the rescue! I'm fairly sure there is a second size (19"), and will add that info on next update.

Well, the DP guide just gives us an upper limit on the value of these things.

I'm gonna guess that nobody should pay more than $100 for 'em. I'd be fairly certain that there are different sizes as I think I've seen that mentioned before, but hell if I've ever seen one in person.

That price is for the whole thing. I am interested in the controllers, as I have one of those TVs, but I wouldn't pay more than $20.00 for the both of them, and I'd have to be in the mood to pay that much :)

Ouch, maybe I should've tried real sarcasm :) Didn't want to be disrespectful to Portnoyd, though... I know that's the price for the whole thing (found loose, would be more expensive with a box).

That figure seems pretty suspiciously round to me...you could probably score one cheaper, but the seller would likely try to get as much as possible, and if they really know their stuff I'd expect to see a damn high price tag on that ($150 really doesn't sound that bad; even if the video quality isn't that great and all-in-one units aren't so hot).

I could see these controllers going for more (maybe $20+), if for no other reason than that people like to see diversity and are sick of the classic NES controller and Advantage stick.

I actually have the 19". I am shocked these things are not more sought after by NES collectors. I love mine. The sound out of the internal speaker is so crisp and good. Just a neat little thing to add to a collection if you ask me.

How's the video on it? I saw a photograph and didn't think - but am I wrong here?

pic of the whole thing?

The picture on mine is just great. I'm not sure offhand how big it is. I think it is probably the 19" one.

I am surprised by the $100 ranking too. I would've expected these to be much more sought after and worth a lot more than they are. I can't complain though :)

I picked up mine for $35.99 at a used shop that sold NES's for $39.99. Apparently, they had to classify it as a TV and no one wanted it 8-)

The picture on mine is just as good as a NES with the AV hookups. Nothing to write home about but certainly not bad. My girlfriend overheard one of her co workers talking about this TV he got that plays video games. It did not have a remote and he hated video games so I just offered to buy him a 19" sharp to replace it as a trade. I spent about $100 on the new TV but I had never seen one before and my nes is my primary collection so I was happy. Well worth it if you can find one and a fantastic conversation piece :D I was surprised to see one go for about $200 at the CGE auction last year. I thought that was kind of low because I had never seen one in the wild before (besides mine). I just chalked it up to most people maybe flying in and not being able to get it back easily.

The black ones have bigger cords than the white ones.

i like how people put words in their auction title like.. "WOW!" ... like they're just now reading it like we are.

@atari_overlord: Easiest confirmation I've ever done. :) I was fairly sure, but the size was variable.

As far as the price, it was just a ballpark round number to work with, and I would see if it would come up for sale anywhere, including ebay, to fine tune it. When I set it, I didn't think anyone was going to see it until DP 8. ;) If anything, I'll make two entries, one for 13" and one for 19", with two prices.

rbudrick posting after MAS2600?! HOLY DEJA VU BAMTAN!

Yes, MAS2600 wonders where that system is now! I bet that they're full of tricks and lies, the video was coming directly from a workstation and the system was just a crummy mockup. Or not. Can't remember when I last watched that commercial.

From what I looked up over at Google it was manufactured around 1989 and the mechanics of the NES suggest it is the spring loaded kind found in toasters.
