CDTV, CD32 and CD-i lists not US-releases?

My first post here :-)

I was adding some information for the lists on this forum to my own game-database, and i noticed that at least the CD-i, CDTV, CD32 gamelists where containing european only titles.

- Have systems have been released in the US, or are these a european-only lists?

Being from europe, i noticed some 'dutch' titles in the CD-i list, as well as a number of "european interest" only titles on CDTV/CD32 (european soccer competitions, Manchester united,etc.). I doubt these titles are US titles.

Also, knowing the guys who did Disposable hero & Flimbo's quest, i can't recall them talking about working on NTSC/us versions of these games.

I'm also missing a third Zelda title on the CD-i list?

Those are the US releases. I am not working that section, so for all I know there may be discrepancies.

Well, let's see.

I believe the CD32 and CDTV lists that say "USA" are US-only releases - Keir has been working on those lists for quite some time.

The CD-i list is pretty bad as it was composed by me initially and I'll tell ya, there's no way to tell from most of the packaging if the game was released in the UK or USA only, or in the Netherlands where so many of them seem to originate. Because "every CD-i can play ANY CD-i game" (a motto that Philips used to sell the damn things), it's a nightmare.

However, help is on the way, and the list was turned over to our friends at Black Moon Project last month. They're in the process of giving the list a major overhaul in time for the book that's coming out this summer.

I'll have to defer the CDTV and CD32 question to Keir.

Just like Joe said about the CD-i list, it's is very difficult and often impossible to tell if a CDTV or CD32 title is a US version or not. However, I've talked to people who sold games for these systems when they were new, and they say that because you can play both PAL and NTSC games on an NTSC system, they regularly bought European stock to sell in the US. Based on that, I decided against making a distinction between US and European versions.
