Metal Slug Mobile (cell phone games)

I just recently got a new phone that has the ability to DL games from the provider's network.

I noticed Metal Slug as a game that I could DL, so I couldn't resist.

I was shocked at how good this game is. The control is a littl tough to get used to. You use the directional pad on the phone to move and the 1 & 5 button to shoot and the 2 button to jump. But wow, it's a lot of fun and the sound is really decent for a cell phone game.

I had no idea how far mobile gaming had come. I'm not talking Ngage, I'm just talking about a regular phone that happens to have the games as a nice plus. I'll DL Ms. Pac-man next and I just read that a port of Megaman 1 (NES) is on the way. I'm huge into my GBA, I never leave home w/out it. but the Mobile Phone games had impressed me thus far...

Oh yeah and I forgot to mention, another game available is Online Tetris Tournament. That's nutty.

Yes, there is a lot of cheap crap around but some mobile games are really okay, you just have to find them :)

i also have this game for my phone....as well as my all time favorite, Burgertime. I will also agree that the controls are hard to get used to, yet the game is fun. Nothing beats Metal Slug on my MVS cab though, but for a quick Metal Slug fix on the go, this game is a fun one to have.

I also have this game on my cell. It's pretty cool, but not worth the 5 bucks. But pitfall is very cool.

I only paid 3 bucks to DL metal slug - that's worth it to me.

I also played around with something called PAC-Tones last night. It's a set of ringtones that you can DL all made by Namco. There are 2 sections Pop Songs (crap who cares) & Games songs/sounds (YAY!) They had a lot of stuff. Even the begining theme song to Tekken 2!

other stuff there was:
The pac-man waka waka sound
pac man death
pac man coffee break
Pac Man Fever song! (yeah the bruckner and garcia!)
Ridge Racer 4 ending theme (yeah!)

in the end I DLed the theme from the Blocktown level in Pac-Mania.
It's funny b/c the song that I DLed as a ring tone is a more accurate version of the arcade song than the version that is in the GBA port of pac-mania.

I love it, but I'm sure this will annoy this hell out of my co-workers here in the office. ^_^
