Do you play full seasons in baseball video games? That obviously takes awhile since a baseball season is 162 games long and it can certainly get frustrating if you are really bad at it or are controlling a really bad team. I enjoy it....I don't feel the need to play a full season in a month or less and I get a kick of seeing my better players' stats develop.

A better question might be whether you ever play full seasons of more than one baseball game. I have been playing MVP Baseball 2004 for the GameCube in season mode and I just got MVP Baseball 2003 for the XBox for two reasons...so I'd have a baseball game for that system...and because it was cheap, just $6.99 from EB Games' website. In my GC game, I'm playing my local Pirates and I may do the same with this XBox game or I could try to recreate the Marlins' winning season...or see how badly I could bury everyone as the Yankees. But I'll probably play as the Pirates since they had a lot of players I liked last season that were ultimately traded away. Since this was the first year of MVP and I've played the 2004 edition, I'm also wondering how different it will be from the current season.

I have two baseball games for the PS2 but don't know if I'll play a full season there...THREE ongoing baseball seasons at once would probably be pushing it. And my VMU file for World Series Baseball 2K2 on the Dreamcast got corrupted so I can't continue the series I had been playing on that system.

I played a full 162 game season of World Series Baseball 2k1 on Dreamcast about 2-3 years ago. I'm still amazed I did it. I played with the Cubs on Legend difficulty and had a crazy record like 130 wins and Sosa had 100+ home runs.

I started a new season on Home Run King a while ago that I'm only 20-30 games into. It's been a while since I've played it though, so I doubt I'll ever finish it.

I always buy new baseball games with that intention, but I have never actually followed through with it. Something else comes out and steals away my interest.

MVP is the best game this year, no doubt. This is coming from a former World Series devotee.

Yes, I have played the full 162 game season before, but I was in no rush to finish. It took me probably 4-6 months to do it. I also love to see the better palyer's stats accumulate!
I am more of a Basketball player and play full seasons all the time.

I've played full seasons on most of the World Series Baseball years, but sometimes I cheat and set a season as 13 games. On the original WSB I always play as the Pirates because they are just so damned good in that game. Andy Van Slyke hits homeruns in almost every at-bat.

I tried to with World Series Baseball on Xbox and failed miserably. My problem is that I have so many other games to play that it became a chore. I got through April though which I thought was at least *something*.

I never hesitate in which team I'm going to play though. It's gotta be my hometown Blue Jays or I'd not even get *that* far :)

I just finished my original World Series Baseball for Genesis season a few weeks ago. 162 games is quite the haul. I put the pitching on rookie so it gave Barry Larkin of all people the chance to get the 519 home runs he acquired. I think that is one of the best baseball games ever. Only non NES baseball game I truly enjoy.

I started the cubs off on Allstar Baseball 2005 for the xbox and i just love the game for some reason. I actually play one a day as the cubs play since it's set up to this years schedule. I have already lost Cory Patterson to a reagrivated injury. Priors still out.... this game rocks.

World Series Baseball: played a 162 game season, OMAR FRICKEN VISQUEL hits 500 home-runs. I sweep the first two rounds of the play offs, then go to 7 games against the Cubs in the series, win on Glenallen Hills 6th(!) error of the INNING!, the error causes Sam Horn to score and give the Indians the title.

MLB '99: Still my favorite baseball game. Was a souped-up Indians team(I'm from Cleveland, if you haven't guessed yet), and won every single game I played. I faced the Cubs again in the Series, and took it too 7 games again, and I won, from an Enriquie Wilson grand slam in the 9th.

Microsoft Baseaball 3D: Another souped-up tribe team, but this team I cheated and had the computer play 75% of the season, I had to fight back and play the whole final september month to get into the playyoffs, which I of course won, against the CUBS.

Half-related question: whats the longest games you've played? I've had a
scoreless game reach the 98th(!) inning before I finally got a basehit and a
"ball-stuck-on-the-ground" glitch, on Microsoft baseball. Kind of funny how the sun stayed up after an EIGHT HOUR GAME!

How is that even possible??? Talk about some pitchers having rubber arms...

I'm more curious to find out what everyone's "stats" were like at the end of the season.

There's one major reason I will ONLY play High Heat for a 162 game season... Highest guy on my team hit like 25 home runs (played as the Twins). That's just RIGHT. Highest win total for a starter was like 16. That's just RIGHT.

Not that I didn't enjoy my undefeated seasons (throwing basically no-hitters each time - nice the computer can't hit the fire pitch) in Super Baseball Simulator 100, but I can't get into a "simulation" game that doesn't even come close to real life!

I just got WSB2K3 for the XBox for $3 at EB...I can only stand playing Franchise or Dynasty modes...I love the off-season stuff almost as much as the real games.

I did a full Fantasy Draft as the Cubs. Usually I get 3-4 Cubbies, but this time Sosa went to the Angels, Prior's an Expo, but I got Kerry Wood :)

My team is not very good...so far my Cubs are 5-8, Jim Thome leads the team with 6 home runs...only two other players have even hit home runs...

I think I'm going to turbo through some of this season, and then try to work some magic in the off-season.
