What I do for a living is fix computers. One client of mine happened to own an iMac computer. Her daughter bought her a RAM upgrade and a copy of OS X Panther. I open the package containing the RAM from the official Apple Store but it turns out to be the wrong type. I call up Apple to arrange an exchange but apparently Apple won't take back even hardware after it's been opened. So she ordered the right RAM (thanks to my help) and offers to give me the other RAM after it doesn't sale on eBay. I agree and give her a discount on her bill.
So now I have this DIMM for a tray-loading iMac but no machine to install it in. If anyone has an older iMac, one of the models that has a tray-loading CD-ROM drive -- not a slot-loading one (i.e. just sticking CDs in a horizontal slit instead of a tray coming out to insert a CD) -- I would be interested in knowing if you'd be willing to sell it and for how much you'd want.
