Christ on crutches! I was watching this episode of Icons on G4, and I never knew that the history of Tetris was so damn complicated!

The ending was quite an uplift though in regards to the games developer. Best episode of Icons ever, I suggest everyone who has the ability to watch it do so.

It was almost like the World War of a videogame, lol.

What happened to that guy? I know he should have made quite a bit of money off the game, but he was from Russia (still communist at the time) so he didn't see a cent. Did he finally see some cashishishishishish?

Yes. He was hired on at Microsoft as one of their puzzle game makers. They brought him to America and got him his green card.

The rights to Tetris were reverted back to him so yes you could say he is going to be making some money.

You should have seen the passion in this mans eyes when he was telling this story. I'm glad he got his dues.
