My mom enjoys point and clicks and the sims. She likes slower paced games she can take her time on.

My dad likes the fallout series, baulder's gate, neverwinter nights and all their various clones and sequals. He also likes all of our older Nintendo games like Dragon Warrior, Super Mario Brothers, Zelda, Fester's Quest, Goonies II, Genghis Khan and Shadowrun for the Genesis.

My mother, nope. But she liked to help years ago when I played puzzle games such as Shadowgate. She'd offer suggestions and such :)

My dad steals the PS2 here and there to play games like Socom and Ghost Recon, but that's about it.

My brother plays nothing but the X-Box.

My mom tries to play video games but usually gets bored pretty quickly. The only game she loves is Tetris. My mother still kicks my ass at it to this day. I bought her an ancient Game Boy with Tetris for her birthday a few years back. She was playing it in the car when my father drove through a tunnel, so she told him to avoid the tunnels from now on or she was going to rip his arm off and club him with it.

The only time my father's even looked at a video game was when he used to sit behind my brother and I and tell us how to beat the Sherlock Holmes game for the Sega CD. He's seen all the movies they took the clips from so he always knew who the murderer was.

Aaaand I used to have a cat that would leap at the screen and bat at NPC's in Alundra.

My brother loves the NES (particularly Arkanoid, Ivan Stewart's Offroad) and a tonne of 2600 games (Golf, Demon Attack)

My sister ONLY likes the Mario Party games

My father will not even touch one of the controllers and says that Tetris on the first level is too fast.

My mother doesnt like console games, butr used to kick ass on teh Seirra Adventure games (Kings Quest, Space Quest, etc.)

My step brother likes all things Pokemon, or where you get to blow things up and kill people (Oh to be 7 years old again)

My stepfather is a bigger burnout than I am: He comes home on his lunch break, and plays the Military games and such for PS2, then after work, plays again for a few hours, eats supper, and then goes back to play again. In the past 3 months, he has rented and beaten to completion 20 games.

I wanna get a job where i can spend time playing games all day long. Screw university.... homework and studying takes up too much time

My parents will play my MVS (they love Metal Slug co-op) and will play Super Mario Bros. on my Nintendo Vs. As for consoles, they will both play Eye Toy and my mom will play puzzle games like Dr. Mario or Tetris. My mom also likes my 3 plug and play TV Games controller things. Other than that, they don't really play video games.

When my sister was older she used to play various games on the SNES. Mostly basketball, wrestling and platformers. A few years ago she tried to plug it up and play it again, within a few days, the system and all the games were placed back in her closet and never touched again. She eventfully gave them all to me, when my SNES decided to "choke."

Both my mom and dad refuse to touch video games of any sort. However, every now and again, my dad pretends to take an interest, by asking me what I'm doing and watching me for a few seconds. Suppose we are bonding?? Within minutes he's on his way out the door.

The pets are a bit more open to gaming goodness. My sister's parakeet loves the sounds any game makes. He loves ringing his bell and chirping as loud as possible to any high pitched noise. Oh and the sound Yoshi makes in Smash Brothers drives my dog insane. Its rather funny.

My Dad has a casual interest in racing games and some older arcade titles.

The only game I've ever seen my Mom play is Centipede, which she does seem to enjoy a fair bit.

My younger sister doesn't have much interest in videogames, though there are a few she likes, like Balloon Fight and Rainbow Islands.

My younger brother shares with me my videogame obsession, which is to say he will play pretty much anything.

Once a year my dad plays Nobunaga's Ambition, SNES and he's always trying to drag me into it when I'm around. I beat his ass at Risk and that's enough for me, rice distribution and fief fueding just doesn't cut it for me. Once in a blue moon he'll play something like Ages of Empires.

My sister is a Square nut but stopped getting their games since she doesn't have a PS2. Frankly the realism pushed in FF8 and FFX didn't appeal to either of us and she's more into the strange offshoots like Tactics Advance or Chocobo Dungeon 2.

My wife will play an occasional game of Frogger on the 2600 and she also likes to work out on her DDR pad which she plays a few times weekly. And she also has a PC golf game that she plays online with other players.

My son (9) is into the GBA Pokemon games but he'll play almost anything on any system. Lately, he's been playing a few NES games and also Video Olympics on the 2600.

My daughter (7) only plays 3 games...Animal Crossing (I share the town with her, she takes all the good stuff), Barbie Horse Adventures (PS2) and Mario Kart (Cube).

My mom took my entire 3DO collection from me, just to play Icebreakers. That was about 4 or 5 years ago now. She get's ticked at me if I even mention wanting the system back!! She'll also sit in front of both my Galaga and Millipede machines, but that's about it.

Dad likes to watch, but hasn't ever played anything.

Showing Animal Crossing to my mom and niece was a biiig mistake :o. Their constantly taking over my bedroom!

My elder brother has PS2 and is a 'casual gamer' so to speak. He plays stuff like GTA3, True Crime, Hitman, etc.. We have recently been re-sparking our SF2 rivalry on the SNES.

The girlfriend is big football (soccer) fan and loves Fifa, she’s damn good too :embarrassed:. We also enjoy co-op games, like Bubble Bobble and Metal Slug.

May I say all your gaming family members are C 8-) 8-) L!

My dad- once took an hour playing Atari VCS Checkers, in what takes me a few minutes. He didnt take too well to the VCS.
Mom- wont touch them.
Wife- likes Tapper on MAT, Jeopardy, & very few others.
Bro-in-law- has SNES, N64, GameCube, & Gameboy SP. Another plays PC FPS games.
Dad-in-law- got me some good gaming deals (Dino Crisis 2 & RE: Nemesis for around $5 each) but not a gamer.
Nephew plays PC & various console games. Another has a PS2.

That's about it.

Back when I was a child and still had an NES, my mom would play Super Mario Bros. after I went to sleep at night. 9 or 10 years ago, when my older cousin brought over his Sega CD with the games he owned, Sonic CD and Ecco The Dolphin, for a weekend, my mom spent a few hours playing Ecco The Dolphin. But she hasn't played anything else since.

I recall one of my aunts enjoying Columns for the Game Gear and Rayman for PSX a few years back, but I don't think she's played anything for years.

My younger brothers (16 and 14) play their Xbox and their N64 all the time. And their PSX whenever it wants to work. And my SNES, PS2 and Gamecube whenever I let them. And sometimes when I'm not home and request that they don't go in my room. I need to get a lock for my door.

My 8 year old sister isn't as much of a gamer, but she's played a few Xbox and N64 games with my brothers. I forget which ones.

My older cousin, as I mentioned earlier, owned a Sega Genesis w/Sega CD, Game Gear and an Atari Jaguar at one point in their heyday, so because of him I got to play those systems. He also had an SNES and N64 during their heydays (and my first time playing an SNES and N64 were when I was playing his).

I'm a only child. My folks pretty much avoid games -- they just don't get it. :) Back when they were growing up, all they had was pinball games and the other odd stuff. My Dad used to take me to arcades when I was younger, but all he would play was pinball games, and some non-violent stuff like Tetris and Arkanoid. Actually, he's pretty good at Tetris, and that's the game he'll play the most.

My Mom used to play some TV games like Wheel of Fortune with me when I was younger, but that's about it.

I DO remember they used to play Bowling on the Atari 2600 together, though. :)

My sister and I used to play Q*Bert, Cabbage Patch Kids Adventure in the Park and Word Feud on our Coleco. Sometimes she'll play Sonic 2 two-player mode with me. My cousin's Bubble Bobble game made me want a NES (thank you, Saturn!) No one else in my family plays.

Back in the day, my family used to gather around the Odyssey 2. My dad and I, occasionally with my brother in tow, would play Computer Golf (and it was always fun to watch the little golfer through a pixellated fit after knocking his ball into a tree). My mother and I would play marathon sessions of Basbeall, Alien Invaders Plus, Smithereens, Acrobats...she also sat with me all day in the dingy little game room of some fishing resort, where I was stuck after getting myself seriously sunburned the previous day, giving me quarter after quarter and dollar after dollar to pump into the Fantasy coin-op they had there.

I'm pretty sure that a lot of my affinity for both the O2 and Fantasy have a lot to do with those memories - and the fact that they were, actually, insanely fun.

Simpler days.

My family once gathered around the entertainment centerpiece of our home: the Atari 2600. My Mom was a huge Dodge 'Em and Demon Attack fan, and my Dad played pinball, mainly Midnight Magic (once rolling the score counter back to zero). Once the NES entered the house, I pretty much became the sole game player. My Dad occasionally broke out Pinball to play on it, but my parents don't really have anything to do with them anymore. My sister watched me play occasionally, but never really played much of anything. My pets are usually sleeping and take no interest in videogames whatsoever.

Although my Mom did have a glint in her eye when she saw me playing our old Atari recently. :) Proof that games never really leave you, they merely lie dormant.

My Mom likes to play games like Kid Icarus and Tetris on her NES and when she had a 2600 she played Circus Atari. When I was growing up we would play games of Pong on the Telstar Arcade, Circus Atari, Golf on the NES and Star Control on the Genesis (she had a cackling fit when we both took the Urquan [I think, they had the fighters] and all you heard was LAUNCHFIGHTERSLAUNCHFIGHTERSLAUNCHFIGHTERS...). After that we didn't play video games all that much as they got more complicated.

My Dad isn't really into video games. One reason is that he's somewhat ambidextrous except when it comes to NES on up video games. Couldn't seem to be able to use the controller that well. All he got into was NES Golf and then computer games like Scrabble.

My wife will play some games, not as much as she used to when a bout of WCW/NWO Revenge caused her wrist to get inflamed. She pretty much will stick to slower paced or the not so hand/wrist intensive games or she just quits after a short time. She plays Yoshi's Story, Animal Crossing, Bust a Move 2 and any Tetris like game. On the PC, when she's in the mood, she'll play Civilizaition (1 or 3 depending on mood) or Pirates! Gold. Most of the time she's a video game voyeur.

My brother-in-law has a love/hate relationship with games. As long as he is winning or doing well, he loves 'em. Right now it's a hate thing as Ninja Gaiden (Xbox) is kicking his ass, he's lost his rhythm in PGR: 2 and in the sports games (currently Fifa 2004 and Top Spin are being played) he's having problems getting past some of the better competitors. His mind is saying "if you don't spend a couple of hours a day with games to keep your edge, you're screwed and that sucks" even though he fails to admit he has a severe lack of patience. That statement is ironic as he seemed to enjoy the sailing and treasure hunting bits of Wind Waker but got frustrated with the dungeons and I am the opposite.

In-laws: they think video games will break their TV and get upset they saw them hooked up when I first started dating my wife. When the basement was converted into a lounge area (my wife's sister still lived at home and so did the sister's boyfriend and I owned cats at my place so the boyfriend couldn't come by as he's allergic) the in-laws would watch the games from time to time. On vacation however, they will play arcade games like it was a common thing to do.

My pets get annoyed when I play games. Kirby will try to get on my lap to walk up my chest to head-butt my face. Gomery, if I'm sitting on the floor, will look pissed as I usually have the controller at lap level and he can't get onto my lap. Rocky, rest his soul, played a mean game with the Power Pad as he'd jump onto it and start slapping the pad wildly.
