900 is kinda a unofficial milestone for collectors (or so I've noticed). If anyone is bored, thumb through my collection and let me know what you think of mine. I've tried to collect quality over quantity but I've got quite a few stinkers too.

Things in my collection i'm most proud of:

Myriad 6 in 1, Panzer Dragoon Saga, TurboDuo (new), Commodore 64 and 128 units in mint shape, Steel Battalion, Keio Flying Squadron, Snatcher, Sealed Spiritual Warfare, Alex Kidd in Shinobi World, Earthbound Complete, NES Top Loader Complete, and my bitchin' Metroid Prime standup.

I'm going for a complete Sega CD collection now and expect to be done by early July. After that, SMS and Dreamcast. Also looking to get a 4 socket MVS and an arcade style air hockey table in my basement lair by the end of the year.

If anyone is interested, I'll take some pics of my setup and put them up in this thread.

Here are the pics. Sorry that they're dark. I'm not a very good camera man.

Here's my current play rig in my game room:

It's a 27" Sony Wega. Also is the pic of the systems hooked up to it right now. Lords of Thunder rules (because Butt-Rock rules).

Here's my rig in the living room:

This one is a 50" Sammy DLP. I bring my newer stuff out here for extended play sessions. WarioWare also rules.

Here's a shot of my game collection 1st Side

You're pretty much looking at most of my NES games, some PC games, some handhelds and loose handheld games, and some systems. Of note: the original Odyssey, a very nice Intellivision, and an APF TV Fun box.

Here's a shot of my game collection 2nd Side

In this pic you get much more stuff. SMS games, Genesis games, PC games, boxed handheld games, Intellivision games, SNES, Sega CD, Saturn, more NES, Atari, N64, 3DO, CDi, and Steel Battalions storage place.

Here are some close ups.

Another shelf. Notice the Duo up there. It's new :D

My BOSS Zelda and Mario trash cans I've had for like 15 years.

Eventually all this stuff is going in my basement with a whole new layout as soon as I get off my lazy butt. But I'm pretty happy with it so far. I've got some space to expand up here if need be before I move my gear. Since I've taken all these pics, if anyone is interested in some shots of me at the first E3 and/or shots at the tender age of 2 holding my brand new Atari VCS over my head at Christmas time, I'll be happy to oblige LOL

(Because I recently auctioned off my VCS collection)

lol, I knew someone was going to ask LOL

It was a joke gift I bought for my wife back when we were dating. It started out because she was going to change her hairstyle, and well, anyway, there it sits. It's kinda acheived a place in our relationship story, and as a result, I must display it proudly.

And Eric the Unready still stands as one of my favorite adventure games.

If you will allow it, to celebrate my milestone, here are some of my finer gamer related pictures.

My 3rd Christmas. I could hardly hold the box or wait to play what was inside. My parents bought it for me because I kept using all the quarters when my mother had to go to the Laundromat on Donkey Kong and Gorf.

Here are a couple of pics from E3. The first E3. We had a damn good time.

^^ if that's not evident (man, the KI Girls ruled!)

Getting our 3DO, again, for Christmas

http://www.blissfulnoise.com/images/3DO.jpg

Me at the ol' 386 and the Fanzine that got me to the E3. Those Sega CD games where ones I reviewed for the mag. Perry or Torrence, if you're still out there, look me up please.

^^ Damn if that doesn't look like a black eye. Can't remember having one at the time, but eh, who knows. Who said gamers can't start some sh*t?!?

And here's one of my lovely wife circa 1983. With a Commodore no less. Was it destiny?

Thanks for letting me post this folks. It brought back some good memories.

Wow, it's datasette time. I wonder what she could be waiting for to load? Forbidden Forest? Blue Max? You would not believe how slow those things are, loading 50k takes about 5 minutes at least. The Adam's tape deck is a screamer compared to the C= datasette. Actually now that I look at the picture closer it looks like she's playing something on a cartridge. Unless it's a jiffydos or fast loader it would completely take over the system after being plugged in.

I had that mario garbage can when I was younger, no idea where it is now. I think in the basement.

Nice job...I'm only 5 games away from having 1000(well, including doubles).

That is an awesome set-up. My new mission is to track down that Mario trash can. That Metroid Prime display thing kicks major ass. 8-)

Oh, Gillian Anderson from the 4th E3. It was one of the pages from the daily happenings magazine they distributed. They were giving away Yahoo magazines there with her on the cover to get signed, but I thought it would be cooler to have her sign something that was actually E3 related.

I also have Jun Iwasaki's autograph somewhere (president of Square at the time of FFVIII) from that same event.

As a side note: if anyone was there who attended the FFVIII press showing, didn't you want to punch that kid who asked about Parasite Eve which was fully finished and playable downstairs?? I was going to ask about ports of Front Mission and FFV (which they eventually did). I did eventually ask Trip about them after the conference to which he asked, "You think they'd sell". I told him if their popularity in the emulation scene was any standard, they'd be quite successful. He didn't seem pleased with that answer

As for the collection, I'll submit a little later. I really think I'll be over 1000 by early summer. I'll probably submit in the fall once I get my basement all finished with my goodies down there (hopefully with a MVS and a RoboTron 2084 cabinet)

And for the Sandman fan, right underneith the Crystal Chronicles oversized and the PSO Standup is the set of limited Sandman bookends (and a Jelly Belly gumball machine :-P )
