When I was little, like 5 years old, all we had was the nes and like 10 games. But it was great because each day after school I got home to my babysiters to play the super nintendo. It was great because even though she babysat about 8 people, my best friend bryan and I were in kindergarden and got home at 12:00. the 1-5 graders got home at like 2:30-3:00 so me and bryan would play super mario world, crash test dummies, super punch out and some other games for a few hours by ourselves. There were a few great moments like when my babysiters nefews came over and I watched them beat mario world straight threw in a few hours and I was so amazed because I wasnt as good as them. Also I remember one time when I got to the siters and I kept ringing the door bell just to make their dog bark and I got punished for it. She made me go upstairs and take a nap in the room. Nobody else could go into the room when I was in there. The great part was thats where the super nintendo was! So I sat there for a couple hours playing super mario world, and then a couple of the other kids came up and played with me. I jsut loved that game so much. James pond was another game I loved. I would play that with my brother there all the time after mario got boring. Everything was great up until I was in 2nd grade and she moved into a different house. It was the first day at the new house and we asked where the super nintendo was. She said it was put away. It made me so sad. So all we did for the next few months was play board games and play outside.
But then my parents decited to get a new sitter. This is where everything comes back together. Well its the day of the interview and we are at the new siters house, my dad was talking to her about the cost and such. While we were there her son came up to me (he was in 5th grade, I was in 3rd) and said, want to go lay sega? So I went to his room and behold... he had sega genesis, sega cd, sega 32x, and nes. We played for a half hour and then I ran up to my dad and said "DAD!!! WE HAVE TO BE BABYSAT HERE!!!" He tol dme that he alreqady decited to. So now everyday after school we would play sega, and nintendo. Another bad thing... during the summer they charged too much so we went to the summer babysiter...kathy. I hated it there. It was wayyyy worse then school. No videogames. And the kid there was a monster. He would hit his gradma and hit us and it was just so boring. When school came back, I was soooo happy!
On one of the first days of my 4th grade school year, my babysiters son told me he rented sonic and knuckles. Bad thing was that it was across the street at his cousins house. So he was able to bring one of either me or my brother over to play it. I got in trouble that day and my brother got all the fun. I was so mad. Im not sure what I did while they had all the fun, but it was torture.
The day came that he got the playstation. He had some games such as 2xtreme and abes oddysee. I liked it but I loved to play the older stuff like rocketnight adventures and megaman 4.
Im in 10th grade now. Im so glad we went to the babysiters or I would probably never like old video games. He had all his stuff in the original boxes. I know where he lives still but we moved and he's an hour away. I vist my old town sometimes but I keep forgetting to see if he still has his old stuff. He most likely gave it to his cousins or sold it because he was part of the "slipknot gang" last time I saw him.
