View Full Version : ANYBODY GETTING THIS?
I just traded in one of my GBA SP's along with a game so I could reserve one of those cool ass NES GBA SP's. Is anybody else going to pick one up? They look so fucking cool, I just couldn't resist. Of all the current systems I love the GBA the most. Once the GBA is done I don't really see 2D sticking around for much longer. It's been a real treat to be apart of the GBA cycle. So many GBA titles are beautiful. I love 2D. I fuckin love it!

So.... you gave away a game so that you could get a different color system? I hope it wasn't a very good game...

The novelty will wear off quickly .. and the Famicom re-release games are rumored to be priced at $24.99 APIECE. That much for a 128K or lower ROM chip, PCB an case, when the actual, realistic price (based on production cost) is more like $5-10. That's absurd, utterly absurd. Also, I've run Famicom titles on my GBA flash cart, and they are painful. The resolution requires the image to be smashed down so that lines disappear and sprites become unidentifiable .. or you need to use a scrolling option so that when you jump the floor scrolls offscreen and you cannot see where you are landing .. it was intolerable. The screen is also too small and the controls too different from the real deal, making it hard to get used to.
If you want the Famicom experience, get a Famicom ..

Um, as Mr. Smashy was trying to point out above, there is already a topic about this. Please continue the discussion there, thanks, all.
