Found a neat retro-ride in Tomorrowland, Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World, Florida, USA last week. It's called Space Ranger Spin and it is themed on the universe of the "real" Buzz Lightyear (the one from the cartoon, not the one from Toy Story.)
You and one other person ride through and shoot things from your little swivel cart. You control the direction the cart faces and you shoot with a light gun mounted on the cart. There is also a scoring LED on your cart and it keeps track when you shoot something. The further away the object is when you hit it, the higher your score. Some things react when you hit their target (A volcano can be set off for instance) and there's even a boss fight (DIE ZURG!!!! DIE!!!). We had a great time! If you're ever in Disney World don't pass it up just becuase there may be a long line or you never saw/didn't like the Buzz Lightyear cartoon.
I think there's a ride with a similar structure in Universal Studios based on the Men in Black universe but I didn't make it to that park this time.
No, I also didn't make it to Disney Quest (the virtual reality playground), maybe next time.
