just started playing this and liking it quite a bit. Fun game, nice use of the Disney characters and "worlds" and some the events are fun too. Gummi Ship building and flying between areas sucks though.

I was pleasantly surprised with this game. Whoever thought of bringing Final Fantasy and Disney characters together is a genious, because it works very well. The game gets incredibly hard though as you move further along in the story.
I agree with you about the Gummi Ship....it's confusing and more of a pain in the ass than anything.

Yeah the only thing I didn't like about the game was the gummi ship part...the rest of it I loved. I can't wait for Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts II.

Presently I'm in Anicent greece, getting ready for the tournament. Sora's level 15 (or 16), Donald's 12 or 13, and Goofy's 19. Cloud's design rocks here.

I never bothered to build a gummi ship. I think I bought a better one (It's been a while), but other than that I though the game was really well designed, and for an odd crossover, they managed to pull it off really well.

My brother is hooked on this game. I watched him play yesterday and he showed me some of the worlds. The graphics are simply beautiful. If only more games could look as good.

Just beat Cloud. But yes, the graphics are goregous and I haven't had this much fun playing a rpg in sometime.

KH=One of the best PS2 games IMO. Althought the Gummi Ship sucks, the original music (Not Dinsey stuff) is great. I even bought the soundtrack :)

Oh, this game was outstanding!!! For those who haven't gotten that far, lemmie throw a spoiler out that no one will mind
The gummi ship gets a 'warp' capibility at a certain point. No more gummi ship levels!! Well, you have to do them once, but then you can just warp to the world.

Which fighting style did most of you guys pick for Sora in KH?

shield, this was one of the few RPGs I finished in a long time, played it through, the gummi ships was retools in final mix so that you could win stuff by playing them.
definitely looking forward to spin offs and sequels
for those who got to the platinium match, what level did you beat it at...I did it at 81
funniest thing I was ever asked about the game "think they will put T.J. (from disney's recess) in the kingdom hearts 2?"

I really enjoyed this game as well. At first I did'nt think Square and Disney mixing up would be a good idea, but the gameplay was really fun and the graphics and music were nice, although the controls left something to be desired. There's little replay value and the ending sucks, but that's true with a lot of RPG's anyway. And it was great seeing some of my favorite charcters from Final Fantasy games voiced by some of my favorite actors and actresses. I always KNEW Squall and Yuffie would make a great pair together. LOL

I mistook Yuffie as Rikku at first- same skimppiness I suppose. I picked Sword.

Well, I can't recall the guy's name, but the reason some charcters are in the game and not others is because KH has FF people from 7, 8, and 10 is because they were designed by the same person. I would have liked to seen some from 6 and 9 in there also (shrug). Squall and Yuffie were my favorites, although Selphie and Sephoroith were good as well. :)

A truly great game. My son and I played the entire game through, together taking turns and we beat it. I think he was 5 when we beat it, or maybe just 6, he loves it too. Since we beat it all he still plays it going where he wants and playing. It has been great replay value for him. The first RPG we beat together.
Next I would like us to do the Secret of Mana together, he plays it and likes it, I like the fact that once you get your party, two people can play together, so no taking turns for us. He also likes Chrono Trigger as much as me, so these are probably our three fav RPGs.

You know what would make the best damn RPG ever? If they teamed up Donald Duck and Vivi... oh yeah. It's day will come. 8-)

the only thing that Kingdom Hearts is missing is a battle along the lines of the "OH SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT" factor of Warmech in FF1

Some people say that this game is just a repetitive button-masher. Is it not so?
