I saw a Pokemon N64 at a local video game store today, and being that I know absolutely nothing about Pokemon things, is it a rare console? Should I have picked it up?

On a scale from 1 to ten. I say 7, so yes. Go back to that place and GET IT!!

On a scale of 1-10, I would give it a 4 as slightly uncommon. They can be easily found if you know where to look.
I wouldn't pay more than $20, and $20 only if it has the exclusive controller.

That's exactly how much it was--$20. It did have the pokemon controller with it also.

I see these things sealed at the Flea Market for $50!! Sucks cause I want one. It is a pretty neat looking console, definatly worth the $20 bucks.

It's the Pokemon Picachu blue and yellow one (don't know if they made different ones or not). When you turn it on, the Picachu's cheeks light up--kind of funny!

I found a boxed one, but it was 50. I passed it up, it wasen't really worth it. I did find a new Hey You Pickachu at the same place for aobut 3 dollars, so I got it instead.

Are these rare do to lack of people buying them? I remember at least two different Toys R Us stores who were frantically trying to get them out of the store. There had to have been at least 150 at each store. Maybe they ended up in the dreaded landfill.

They still have them for (I think) $100 NIB at TRU here.

For those who don't know, Hey You, Pikachu was a pack in with the Pokemon styled N64.
EDIT: It's an R3. More info here (http://66.92.250.36:8080/DP/cmf/game.cmf?gameid=148538).
