...and I got a small refund check, $96, and I'm wondering how many games I could buy with that? I'm talking discounted but new games, the kind of marked down games you find at K-mart and Wal-Mart and such. I now have all 3 game systems (GameCube, PS2, XBox) so it's only a matter of what I can find, not based on what system it's for. Too bad the 2nd Ratchet & Clank game isn't marked down yet...I still want that but I dislike paying more than $30 for any game. Well, I'll go out tomorrow and see what I can find.
By the way, while my birthday is Friday of next week, my cat's birthday is on Monday. But he doesn't play games...that I know of.

You can get 2 or 3 good gamecube games for that. I always see rather new GC games marked down.

I'd say 4 or 5. The discounted (unpopular) new games average $20-$30 or so. Your best bet would be the "Greatest Hit PS2" or "Platinum X-Box" types, they're 19.99 and they get to be Greatest Hits normally by being really good games. You can always find something for 10 if you look hard enough.
Cats play games. Their favorite one is "randomly get up and run into the next room and then back for no reason."

Sam's club usually has a stack of playable games for $10-$15 :D

There aren't any Sam's Clubs in my area. At any area I'll be going out directly to see what I can find. The trick will be finding good cheap games...that I don't already have.
And speaking of games, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 for the Dreamcast just arrived. I guess I can also consider that an early birthday gift to myself...

Well, I went to both K-Mart and Wal-Mart and found one game at each I really wanted...I didn't buy either as I wanted to get a group of games all at once. I checked a few more stores and finally picked up a trio of games at EB Games, all for the XBox...
MechAssault (the one game I was interested in that K-Mart had)
Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War
Panzer Dragoon Orta
It made sense to get Xbox games, too, since I've only had the system for a few months now and my library for that system is still pretty small. I still have about $28 of my $96 left so maybe later I'll go back to Wal-Mart and get the one game they had that interested me...Metal Arms. Then again, it was a PS2 version. Should I hold out for an XBox or GameCube version?

Sah-wee-hee-hee-t! One of these days I'm going to force myself to drop the ungodly amount of cash people ask for that little gem.

Hey, hey! Your birthday is the day after mine which is on the 7th. I mentioned higher up what I got...3 XBox games...but I picked up another today. I got Triple Play 2002 on the XBox for all of $2.11 including tax (it was marked at $1.99). Now, I don't really need another baseball game for the Xbox as I already have MVP 2003 but when I saw the play-by-play was by Bob Costas, I had to have it. I consider Costas the best baseball announcer on the planet, based on watching years of Saturday afternoon baseball on NBC when I was younger which was always announced by Bob. This is also likely to be the cheapest I'll ever find an XBox game going for...
