Hello fellow DPers..

I've decided to snap a few pictures of my NES collection and put it online. Many of you have already seen a lot of the carts in my collection (many pictures of the carts in DP Guide 7 are actual scans of my collection).

So here's the other 600+ carts and unknown number of accessories.

What's not visible is my 1988 - 1994 Nintendo Power complete collection.

Let me know if you have any questions about what's here.

P.S. I'm sure it doesn't compare to many other NES collections, but I'm Canadian, and it's a tad harder to find stuff here than it is in the states. A good 75% of my collection originated in the US.

The bookshelf was build by me and my dad. Mostly from sheets we had precut in Home Depot.

Following is just an overview of the collection. It's hard to tell what's there.. but I assure you there are some really great gems here. NTFS2 test cart, all mega man carts, all dragon warriors, complete tengen tetris, complete action 52, complete Stack-em, and others.

Each cart was opened, cleaned using white eraser (restored to brand new condition) and tested in my machine before being put away. The boxed games are all over the place. The carts are sorted alphabetically.

Boxed ROB is on the back right. I also have a complete ROB set in a blue NES carrying case found on top of the shelf.

The right most box is a complete top loader. It has its original sales receipt and the warranty tear away card still atached to the outside of the box. It doesn't look like the top loader ever left its box!

beautiful! i love how yours are displayed. If only I had more room to do that with mine. maybe it is time for a new shelving unit in my room.

Great collection. I too love seeing all those boxed accessories, adds so so much to a collection. keep it up!

btw, sweet pirate games in the buying and selling forum. I wouldn't mind owning some of those, i just don't have any of those games you are looking for.

Everything looks really nice how it's displayed. I love the shelving system you made, I can never find suitable/large enough storage racks to put most my stuff, it's just lying on the floor and tables. I like all the boxed accessories as well, nice collection.

Ah...I've got a Nintendo. And, like, some controllers and games and stuff. :?

It's pretty sweet... :frustrated:

Seriously, though, excellent collection. I can only dream (about both having cool shelves and that many NES games).

Lots of nice boxed games. Where did that smb3 mario doll come from?

Thanks for all the nice comments folks.. Here's some answers to your questions:

- The SMB3 doll was purchased on eBay
- All the other plastic figures are actually trophies that were given to kids at Toys R Us during local competitions (Canada trying to have its own NWC?) I picked them all from a local toy store for a couple of bucks.
- The shelving unit was designed, cut and build by my dad and me. It's actually the second one I made. The first is 1/2 the hight and 1/2 the width. It took me 6 months to outgrow it. This unit was designed to hold all NES carts with no boxes/manuals. 2 years ago I started buying boxes/manuals. Looks like I'll outgrow it as well.

I have high res (5MP) pictures of the collection, but I didn't want to kill the connection here with each picture being 2MB big! :D

The only thing I'm sad about is that I don't get to see it much anymore. They are stored at my parents house. That's my old room. 6 months ago I moved into an apartment with my fiancee and I only see it 2 times a week.

Heck, even my arcade machine is still there. But fear not. The XBOX, Dreamcast, PSOne & GBA SP are all here with me. :D

I am very impressed by your collection. It makes my 110 NES games look like I don't have any at all. I love the boxed accessories and systems and the shelves are amazing.

Don't be surprised if many of your old carts/doubles are in the pictures..

I remember trading with most of you. :D
