Gauntlet for the sega master system arrived in the mail. That's it.
Won't be shopping this weekend at all since I gotta sell off some stuff to meet the credit card statement. Or wait before two days it's due for the next paycheck. Hmmm...

* XBox Silent Scope Light Rifle + House of The Dead III new for $50 (Fry's special)
* Two MAS systems super sticks (uses actual arcade parts) for the Genesis, fo $10 each! They're older versions of this joystick: http://www.massystems.com/ProStick.html I'm hoping the company still sells adapters for these sticks so I can use them on my GameCube and XBox. I'd consider trading one of them for very rare NES game(s) that I'm lookig for.

Anyway, I found a boxed Flicky, and complete versions of Sonic & Knuckles and Road Rash (all for Genesis) at a garage sale this morning. All three together were $6.

Well, I did DAMNED good today! :D There were about 50 yard sales in the area (due to the stupid weather, otherwise it would have been more like 80+!) and I found the following:

SNES system w/one controller all hookups, and the following games:
NHL Stanley Cup
Pink Goes to Hollywood
All Star Challenge
Donkey Kong Country
Super Mario World
Total price: $5 Cdn
-------------------------------------------------

Next I found these GB games, all in a GB Nuby hardcase with the plastic cart cases:
Super RC Pro Am
Robocop
Super Mario Land
TMNT: Fall of the Foot Clan
T2
WWF: King of the Ring
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure
WWF Superstars
Tetris
Total price: $4 Cdn
-------------------------------------------------

Then I found some assorted games:

Legend of Robin Hood: Conquests of the Longbow (Sierra DOS game), mint complete on 5 1/4 disks boxed with everything for $.90 Cdn

Lightning Force (Genesis, cart only) $2 Cdn
General Chaos (Genesis, cart only) $2 Cdn
--------------------------------------------------

and a few non-game items:

Mario and Luigi kart racing toys $.25 each Cdn

Stack of 6 Robert E. Howard novels $.75 Cdn each...all mint and OLD

Alan Dean Foster hardcover (A Call to Arms) $.50 Cdn

J. Geils Band: Freeze Frame CD $1.00 Cdn

Pokemon: The First Movie VHS $1.00 Cdn
------------------------------------------------------

And last but not least, I found the mother lode of board games:

Nightmare (VHS board game) $2.00 Cdn
Nightmare (VHS board game) $2.00 Cdn
Nightmare 2 (VHS board game) $2.00 Cdn
Nightmare 2 (VHS board game) $2.00 Cdn
Nightmare 3 (VHS board game) $2.00 Cdn
Nightmare 4 (VHS board game) $2.00 Cdn
Doorways to Horror (VHS board game) $5.00 Cdn
Origins of World War II (Avalon Hill board game unpunched) $2.00 Cdn
--------------------------------------------------------------

The VERY best find I had today was at a small yard sale that a little girl was at (the one I got the Pokemon video from). She had a little table with "Lemonade 5¢" and the cents symbol was backwards :D That was some DAMNED good lemonade too!

Those Nightmare games alone are worth probably $200 US easy...every one of them is near mint and complete! :D Basically....I made some GREAT scores today!

omg nightmare games!

my friend used to have one, and we used to play it all the time when we were little.

that was the one where you had to beat the game within an hour, and the gate keeper made you do all sorts of odd things, wasn't it?

O_O They made more than one Nightmare game? I still have the first one! And worth money hmmm? :D

I did ok today, hit some yard sales... but I missed out on a great GBA deal :( :( :(

<u>Gameboy</u>
Micro Machines
Pokemon Blue
Pokemon Yellow
Mortal Kombat
Donkey Kong Land
Donkey Kong Land 3
Wario Blast
Lion King
Duck Tales
Return Of The Jedi
Little Mermaid
Tiny Toon Adventures 2
Bill Eliots Nascar

<u>Gameboy Color</u>
Legend Of The River King 2
Harvest Moon
Roadsters
Pokemon Trading Card Game
Robopon Sun

<u>Gameboy Advance</u>
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

All of this (Plus Various Manuals, one or 2 boxes, 10 or so covers) for $10

<u>NES</u>
John Elways Quarterback
NBA Basketball
T2
The Adventures Of Link
Tecmo Bowl
Super Mario Bros. 3

Those plus a system with hook ups and 2 controllers for $10

A complete (Box and Manual :D)Sega Sports system (Genny) that comes with 2 controllers, model 2 system and NFL Football for $10

<u>Playstation</u>
(All Complete)
Strikers 1945
Jersy Devil
Wreckin Crew
Gran Turismo

All for $12

<u>PC</u>
Serious Sam - Gold
Delta Force... something (it was for my dad ;))

$1.99 each at K-Mart

Also found a Jet force Jemini srategy guide for 25 cents.

And my favorite part :D

Dad and I are driving down the road, we see something white and he says "What's that?" I simply say "Dreamcast, stop"

Looks like someone tossed a DC out onto the road. The Modem had fallen off, went right back on. Doesn't have too much damage :)

Backups don't play on it, but regular games work fine :D

So I had a pretty good day! :)

EDIT - Wow, I got to work tonight and a friend decided to give me some PS2 games!

I got... .

GTA 3
Metal Gear Solid 2
Rocky

:D Good price, nothing!

Picked up these N64 games for a $1 each

Midways Greatest Arcade hits
Gex 64
Glover
Gauntlet Legends
007

Next sale I stopped at picked up
Lion King SNES - 2 bucks
NFL QB Club 96 Gameboy - 2 bucks

Then after I got done at my track practice I was saw a sale on a main road, so I pulled to a side road, only to see another sale that was quite hidden. Here I picked up a NES system (wires and all) w/ 12 games, two cool white holders for the games and a pile of instructions for $20. The games are:

Flight of the Intruder

and also a game genie and cleaning kit....and cobra command inst and mega man 2 inst.

Good day for me i'd say. I was really physced about the N64 games for a buck a piece.

I have been going gamecube game crazy over the past couple of weeks, after today I have a stack of about 20 brand new games that I am making a dent in.
Friday night and Sat. Morning I got:
ALL for GC and of course Brand New

Circuit City
Beyond Good + Evil
Capcom Vs. SNK EO
Spyro: Unleash the Dragon
Piglet's Big Game
Freedom Fighters
Freekstyle
Resident Evil
Matt Hoffman Pro BMX

Best Buy
Hitman
TimeSplitters 2
NBA 2K2

And there still is Sunday - A local gamestore is having a 50% off sale, so can't wait to get some deals on some older games! Shitty weather here in MO will keep the flea markets closed though:(

I think I am going to try and complete a whole gamecube game library. I have never tried to do that with any system, I mean never try and collect all the games. Next to the NES, second the most games I have come from the GC.

The main reason I guess I have never tried, I mean i thought it would be cool, but never saw the point in getting a bunch of games that I don't like just to complete a library.

I got 148 DewU points today... that'll take me a while to enter

As for the Nightmare games, I'm a collector so let me clear these up:

Nightmare I is the origional, it goes for maybe $10. The 'sequels' are really expansions, used with the origional game but with new time and fate cards, and a new tape with one of the characters from the original taking the place of the gatekeeper.

II is hard to get

III is really hard

IV... has gone on eBay for upwards of $200 USD.

I hate you maxlords *shakes fist*

Went garage sailing today. Not much but, interesting.

Defender: the Board Game- $3 (does anyone have a checklist of all the pieces)

An atari 7800 w/ hat trick- $2
One catch, though. It has no controllers or wires to hook it up with. Can you use atari 2600 wires by any chance?

I also got a good laugh. I asked this old lady if she had any games, just like I always do, and she replied "No, and I'm proud of it!" Then she started ranting about how her grandkids are addicted.....God forbid they should read a book blah blah.....15 miles in the snow blah blah blah....It was hilarious! LOL

I had to work most of the day, so I had no time to stop at garage sales. However, I did find the time during a break to visit a nearby Gamestop.

Genesis:
6 Pak (loose) - $5.60
Joshua (loose) - .63

Joshua was the highlight of the day. I just found out it's an R7. :D
Also, the price tag on the game was mismarked as "Cal Ripken Jr. Baseball" for .89 (before the 30% off discount). Being a Wisdom Tree cart, it's my first unlicensed game.

Might go to a few garage sales tormorrow.

Today was pretty good for me. I had to work but I stopped in a couple flea markets and yard sales after my assignment.

The first place I went to a guy sold me a box of NES stuff for $3, including an NES, two regular controllers and a Quickshot joystick and a Turbotouch pad.

At the flea market I found a PSONE with the LCD screen and a bag full of controllers and adaptors for $20, but I didn't have it on me at the time and when I went back it had been sold. I did get Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for NES.

I also found my best find of the day, my Afterburner 32X cartridge that I lost three years ago. I bought it from my brother's ex-wife for a dollar. He must have taken it to her house and never brought it back and, years after the divorce, it ended up in her fleamarket pile. She just charged me a dollar for it.

I also met a guy who used to sell videogame stuff at the flea market but doesn't anymore. Later that day I visited his other junk store, now closed, which is like a museum of overpriced old console stuff. He had boxed Jaguar games, a hard-wired Atari console and a bunch of other neat stuff, but it wasn't priced to move and he didn't care to haggle. Since I had him open the store just for me I didn't want to come away empty-handed, so I bought Metroid, Bonk's Adventure, Kasumi Ninja and a Game Genie for more than I care to admit to. He had Bonks Revenge, but wouldn't sell it to me because he was saving it as a pack-in for a console.

Friday, I visited a store in Virginia that had all of its old stuff priced at a flat $5. I got Wonder Boy, Wonder Boy in Monster Land (label reads Super Wonder Boy Super Monster Land), Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap, Aztec Adventure, Rescue Mission, Alex Kidd and the Lost Stars (label read Alex Kidd The Lost Star) and Altered Beast for SMS, Sword of Vermillion for Genesis, Snake's Revenge and Mission Impossible for NES and Body Harvest for N64. I was really happy to find those Wonder Boy games.

Hey, there's a series I've been paying some attention to recently.

I found a loose Wheel of Fortune for N64 manual that had fallen in the gap behind some computers at a Goodwill...a number of common NES carts, three of them baseball titles, SMB/Duck Hunt and plain SMB...I did find a Namco/Soul Calibur 2 shirt with the character I guess is named Ivy (after doing a search) on the back.

Well, I don't know if this can count as the steal of a week, but t ome it feels like it is. I go into Caveman and they have a customer appreciation sale (25% off all games). well I do some looking around and find FFXII for 79.99 which is a hell of a price by itself. Well with 25% off its 59.99. Well I traded in my copy of Hulk (sealed form tru for 4.99) pokemon trading card game (complete 5.00 on ebay), and fire pro wrestling 2 (sealed) and king of fighters ex (both free thanks to a contest win) and got 45 in trade for all 4. so I only ended up paying 14.99 for FFXII!!!

Also picked up

Max Payne 2 -14.99
Daytona USA- 1.25
Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers 2-2.99
Clock Tower 3 SG- 2.99
Wild Arms 3 SG- 2.99
