I got a boxed one of these recently from Gamestop for $4.99, but I can't seem to figure it out... it has 4 buttons, no select button, and 1 R and 1 L key. What games is this made for especially? Was it successful? How do I use it "properly"?

Oh man, the NegCon is awesome. Use it for Ridge Racer games, or Gran Turismo. The I and II buttons are analog, and function as analog pedal inputs. You twist the body of the controller for analog steering. It looks really weird, but it feels incredibly natural after you spend a few minutes warming up to it. Seriously, that is the ONLY way to play Ridge Racer. Also, I believe the Pole Position games in the Namco Museums support it too. Thank god.

5 years ago I used to see those all the time, but now I would like one and I never see them. Nice find for five bucks.

The NegCon is definately the best racing controller ever made. I refuse to play WipeOut XL, WipeOut 3, or any Gran Tourismo game without it. Even GT3 supports it if I remember correctly.
You're lucky to find one. Try it out with the games I mentioned above, you'll never go back.

Well, damn.
I was in a pawn shop this past weekend, with 3 games in my hands: Gran Turismo (1, non-GH), Ridge Racer Revolution, and Parasite Eve 2 (Non-GH). I got PE2 because it was a Square game.

Good job :D Great game. But you should play the first before starting PE2
Would anyone know an average price for this controller? I've always been interested in buying one myself. Or if anyone has a spare *nudge nudge, hint hint*...

It doesn't. It's highly annoying.

Thanks for correcting me. Maybe I was thinking of Ridge Racer V?

Hmm, that could be. I think that whole series supports it.

Sheesh, I've never even seen one. That's high on my list of things I want, but the closest I've come is a JogCon.
