I decided to kick off the weekday finds thread as I did not see another.

Decided to go out huntin with Nez under the scourge of the Arizona sun and started off the monday with a bang:

Commodore 64 in box - 8
Commodore 64 1541 Floppy Drive - 6
Commodore 64 Model 1702 Monitor - 20

Bunch of commodore goodness at Goodwill. The monitor works great and kicks serious ass for playing NES games.

Gamecrazy:
SNES Cybernator - 5

Savers
SNES Super Metroid - 2
SNES Super R-Type - 2
NES Cleaning Kit w/ Manual - 4
NES Adventure Island 2 w/ Manual - 4
NES Amagon w/ Manual - 4
NES Galaga w/ Manual - 4
NES Codename Viper w/ Manual - 4
NES Kiwi Krazy w/ Manual - 4
GEN Sonic 3 w/ Box - 5

Not too bad of a day at all. Took me FOREVER to get metroid working. Just did not want to start up. Finally blew on the contacts a little bit and then it works perfect....hmm..whatever. Now it's time for some good ol' gamin.

Nights into Dreams box w/ 3D controller (no game)
Battle Arena Toshinden URA (SAT US complete sealed)
Earthbound (COMPLETE w/strat guide and scratch and sniff cards, guide isn't mint tho :( )
Jet Grind Radio official strategy guide
Robo Pit (complete)

$100 all together. A bit steep probably but I really wanted the Earthbound that had just been traded into the indie store.

Got a package in the mail from Germany yesterday:

Corvette ZR-1 Challenge (NES) - complete
Die Schlumpfe (The Smurfs) (NES) - complete

With shipping from Germany to U.S., I think the total for everything was 27 or 28 bucks. Not too bad considering both of these games complete went on the U.S. eBay for $83 EACH a couple of months ago.

Anyone know why Die Schlumpfe isn't in listed in the online rarity guide?

Super NES:

Mr. Do! (loose) - $1

Playstation:

Grand Theft Auto 2 (GH, complete) - $2.50

Mr. Do! was the find of the day. It's listed on DP as an R4 at $15 (http://66.92.250.36:8080/DP/cmf/game.cmf?gameid=142136). Quite a steal.

Try under "Non-US" releases. There was no US release of the game, so unless you specify, it won't check. If it's still not there, it's probably because there is NO WAY to have a complete non-US list.

After having the audio on my Neo Geo (at least temporarily) crap out on me, I needed some comfort food. So, I made the game rounds and for $60 came up with (all GameCube):

Cubivore
Ikaruga
I-Ninja
F-Zero GX
Serious Sam

Yum.

Commodore 64 1541 Floppy Drive - 6
Commodore 64 Model 1702 Monitor - 20

Serious score man! You will not regret buying that monitor, if you look through the room of doom pictures you will still see a lot of those being used.

More stuff for Wednesday....need to stop buying and start selling:

Colecovision w/ 2600 Adapter - 8

Found this at a thrift and at first saw the adapter and thought it was a broken colecovision until I saw the actual system a shelf higher. Snapped in the adapter since it had no price and picked it up for 8 bucks. Doesn't seem to work at all though, with the game it came with or any of the others I've had.

Then stopped by another thrift I hadn't been to in a WHILE:

NES
Dragon Warrior (Complete)
Dragon Warrior II (Box)
Final Fantasy (Box, Handbook)
Legacy Of The Wizard (Compete)
Pin Bot (Complete)
Shadowgate (Complete)
Ultima: Warriors Of Destiny (Complete)
Vegas Dream (Complete)

1.99 each. Has the price written in crayon on the boxes and cart labels tho...no idea how to get rid of that so....=\.

Think I'll be throwing up some stuff for sale that I don't need.

picked up a shrinkwrapped snes wild guns for $30 at a game store; figured that was a better deal than the loose copies of final fantasy II and super metroid that they were selling for $39.99 ;)

also got animal crossing, evolution worlds and resident evil for gamecube at a goodwill for $9.99 each. don't really know why, maybe because the novelty of seeing current-gen games at goodwill still hasn't worn off for me yet...

Actually, it was at a record store that has a small selection of used video games. Only $7, too.

Thanks! Yep, that would be the place. It's got to be one of my best SNES finds there, along with the $4 Earthbound and $5 Zero The Kamikaze Squirrel carts I found last month.

It's probably the only store where I don't remember the last time I left the place empty-handed. :)

Btw, nice find on Spike McFang as well.

Just went on a little buying spree today.... picked up a few common items, most just for the sake of playing (non really for a collection)

N64:
Body Harvest (Complete)
Knife Edge NoseGunner (cart only)
NIghtmare Creatures (cart only)
Hybrid Heaven (cart only)

PSX:
Blast Chamber (Complete)
NBA Live '96 (Complete, Long Box)
Terry Pratchet's Discworld (Long Box, Complete)

SNES:
Super Bomberman

All of the PSX games look to have No scratches at all! I was impressed with discworld... 7.99 Canadian, and I have been watching these things gly away at around 20 bucks US for the last little while.... In total, I think I spent abouts 30 Canadian or so.... so not that bad of a deal for seven games

**edit** I found Super Bomberman for SNES this eveing at a Mom N Pop Video Store.... they had to search for the cart (it was somewhere in the back... but for 3.99 Canadian... it was worth it, loved that game as a kid

Actually I got it from a patron at the local library where I am curently working.. (sounds pitiful working at a library, eh? I used to be a programmer analyst but was laid off!). I have lots of conversations with people due to the nature of the job, and sometimes video games come up.. I tell them I love the old stuff.. so sometimes (not often) they bring stuff in. The kid said he wanted $25... so I took the stuff off his hands :) Two weeks before, another lady was cleaning her house and brought in a colecovision with the 2600 adapter, and a few games.. gave it to me for free! I think my luck has just about run its course there though!

Why thank you, I am indeed very happy with the find, great condition, works perfect and even has the door panel on it. Im just loving playing nes games on it. Would LOVE to hook up my 800xl again for it, but I can't find most of the cables for it, and think you can only hook up thing with AV cables, so I'll have to look more into it.
