American TurboDuo (from a Buying and Selling n00b)

This must be my first time ever posting in this forum... heh. Hope I'm not doing anything wrong here. Anyway, I am currently looking for an American TurboDuo; That is, one that can play American HuCards and any types of PC Engine CD's. I've checked eBay, but there aren't any American Duo's being sold without games along with it, thereby inflating the price. I just want an American TurboDuo, no games. How much do Duos run for on average, somewhere around $100? And does anyone know where I can get one? Once again, American HuCards, both American and most Japanese CD's. Thanks in advance. :)

They generally run about $150.00 to $200.00 with all hook ups and a controller. Just check Ebay and hopefully one will show up. I don't know of too many places have Duos for sale and the few I do generally know stock the Japanese Duos. I don't believe TZD has anymore for sale but you could check there?

well, i just bought one...and i've been watching them come and go for a few weeks. it did take quite awhile to snag one that didn't come with 10 games or so.

here's the one i got:

and then a day or two later another auction which only had a bonk hucard i think ended for $155 or so. expect to pay another $80 for a boxed system (yeah, $80 for a box), unless you get very lucky.

just keep watching for a couple of weeks and the one you want will show up...now i'm waiting to get specific games that i want and that is testing my patience also :)

It seems to be a waiting game from here on in... unfortunately, not sure how long I can wait. I mean, by the time the week ends, my internet time will be all but kaput... don't ask. Ah, I'll get one someday. Till then, I can only admire my complete Splatterhouse TG-16 HuCard. *sigh* :(

I got my JP PC Engine Duo boxed under $45 off eBay some month ago after looking for one several months.

the JP Duos typically sell for less...assuming you can find one with decent shipping.
